Q:From Michael Dyrby Jensen:What was the spider outside Minas Morgul called, the Goddess that protected that area?
A:The spider's name is Shelob. A picture of Shelob can be found in this page.
Q:From Brett Berg of NJ:How many family members does Treebeard have?
A:In Fangorn Forest, there is no 'family' as we in the world of men call it. The ents consider everyone to be of one family.
Q:From Melissa Parsons of NJ:What is an Ent?
A: Ents are walking, talking trees. (From David Gerard: "In the First Age, they were created as the protector and shepherds of trees by the Valar (the Gods), specifically by Yavanna, the one who most corresponds to Mother Earth, as recounted in the Silmarillion.") That is what they still are to this day, though few remain. |
