| Can anyone guess what my favorite books in the world are? They're the Harry Potter books. For those of you who haven't read the books, they're about a boy named Harry Potter who lives with his awful aunt, uncle, and cousin. Then, when he's eleven he finds out he's a wizard and he's off to wizarding school. But he isn't just any boy wizard, Harry Potter is famous. There are going to be seven books in the series and 1 through 4 are out already. There's one book for each year that Harry's at Hogwarts. I've read all four books at least six or seven times each and I've gotta say that the fourth one is by far the best, but all of them are really good. I used to have my own Harry Potter website, where you could become a student at Hogawarts, take online classes, shop in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, visit the Burrow, go to your house Common Room, play Quidditch, join S.P.E.W. and a whole lot more. But I had to close it because it got to be too much work. :-( Some people want to ban Harry Potter. They say it encourages kids to practice the occult. I don't think it does anything like that. The theme of the Harry Potter books is good over evil. Anyway, I don't think you CAN ban the books in the USA, where I live. I mean, I don't think you'd be allowed. Anywho, here are some of my favorite Harry Potter sites. The Virtual World Of Harry Potter This site is my very favorite. You can enroll at Hogwarts, shop at Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, play Quidditch, go to your house Common Room, and there are message boards for you to talk to the other people in your house. You can also take online classes. There's even a Tri-Wizard Tournament and a Ministry of Magic!! Harry Potter Facts And Fun This is another really good site. There's Harry Potter info, rumors, Common Rooms, games, fanfiction and fan art, summaries, and free Harry Potter E-Mail!! Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry Here's another really good site. You can become a student at Hogwarts, shop at Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, and all that good stuff. |
