Another story by me.......

Once upon a time, long, long ago, in a land far, far away, there lived a beautiful princess named Cire. Cire's parents died when she was only two years old, so Cire became a baby queen. But, of course, no one wants a toddler ruling their kingdom so Cire's uncle stepped in to rule until Cire came of age.
Cire had some bad luck when it came to her uncle. It turns out that he wasn't a very good man at all. When Cire turned sixteen she should have become Queen but the evl uncle decided that rulung became him so he was determined not to let Cire have the throne.
In the dead of night the evil uncle went to an old witch and had her put a spell on Cire. He laughed with evil glee as he headed back to the castle, sure of having Cire out of the way.
The next morning Cire had an irresistible urge for some carrots. And, as the only place carrots grew in the entire kingdom was in an old witch's garden a mile from the palace, she headed there without delay.
Cire climbed over the big stone wall around the witch's garden and pulled up all the carrot's she could reach and started eating. After about the fiftieth carrot, the old witch came out.
"What are you doing in my garden?!" she shouted at Cire. "Get out!'
But Cire wouldn't move, she wanted carrots and nothing was going to stop her from getting them. After about thirty minutes of threats the witch realized that she wasn't going to get Cire out of her garden, so she stuck a deal with her. Cire could have all the carrots she wanted if she would stay with the old witch for the rest of her life without talking to anyone else but the old witch. Because, she explained, even old witches get lonely sometimes.
Cire agreed to the deal and for a week she was perfectly happy, eating carrots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. But on the first day of the second week the spell wore off and she didn't want anymore carrots for as long as she lived. You see, she blamed them for getting her into that DREADFUL fix.
She told the old witch that because she didn't want to eat anymore carrots she should be free to go but the old witch said that the deal never said Cire had to EAT the carrots, just that she could HAVE them. So Cire stayed with the old witch for the rest of her miserable life, always wondering was on the world had come over her, and always hating carrots with all of her might and main.
Since Cire was gone, the evil uncle became King. He mostly did nothing but eat, sleep, and complain for the rest of his life. The one law he passed was that carrots should be planted in every garden in the entire kingdom.
