 I try to be optimistic without being unbelievable. There's no need to exaggerate divine grace. Everything doesn't turn out okay, not by our standards. We want things to be pink and rosy. But it's a very rough world. I have paid some dues in this life and fully expect to pay some more and I can say that pain is a very big part of it. Things are not going to be just fine until you stop trying to make them just fine. Stop resisting reality, the inevitable, the truth. Then things become incredibly beautiful. Grace floods us.
