What's going on in our world? Apologists for business as usual regard anyone who has another viewpoint as irresponsible. And well they should. New ideas are a threat to them. They need to ridicule and criticize in order to sustain their illusion. And sure, it's impossible to be a human being and not have redeeming qualities. But we are in a world now with tremendous problems and a great loss of some very precious values. Along with the loss, however, we've gained some important fundamental values too. There was a time not so long ago when blacks kept their eyes to the ground and women were absolutely voiceless. War was a jolly, singing, heroic thing. And spirituality was believing in ghosts. We are in a richness of discovery. That is the redemption in the chaos. Beauty and truth are emerging so fast that the collective is reeling in confusion. We haven't really begun, as a society, to absorb the impact of the explosion of personal spirituality. That there is a core of beauty and depth within each of us is just beginning to become common knowledge. With flowers everywhere the world is changing. More people are stopping to look. Just think how many people are meditating right now as you read this. Now close your eyes and join them.
