Benjamin Woodruff 1744 -1837, was placed on the pension roll, 1832, for over one year’s actual service as a drummer and sergeant in the NJ line. He was born in NJ, died in MI

Benjamin Woodruff 1763 -1822 served as a minute man in the Essex Co., NJ militia, under the command of Col., Elias Dayton, who captured the British ship O’Blue Mountain Valley O’ in 1776, he was born and died in Union Township, NJ

Elias Woodruff 1738 -1801 served as commissary of military stores of State Troops; he was born in Elizabethtown and died in Trenton, NJ

Enos Woodruff 1749 -1821 served as private in Essex Co., NJ milita, he was born and died in Essex Co., NJ

??? Ephraim Woodruff 1748 -1810 enlisted at Woodbridge as a private, Continental Army 1777 in Capt Jonas Ward’s co. and was in many battles, served a lieutenant in the Sussex Co., NJ militia m Mary Byram

Ezekiel Woodruff Jr. was captain of Essex Co., NJ milita when promoted to major in 1776. He gave the information that averted the catastrophe, when the British in 1779 planned to suprise Elizabethtown, and capture Washington’s advance guard. He died in 1801, at the age of fifty-seven

Hunloke Woodruff 1754 -1811 a graduate of Princeton, 1774, was appointed surgeon 1775, in the NY line and was in expedition to Canada, he was at the siege of Fort Stanwix; with Sullivan in the expedition against the Indians, and served to the close of the war; born in Elizabethtown, died in Albany, NY
