| A brief tribute to Ceylon Newton Woodruff Ceylon Newton Woodruff, compiler of The Woodruff Chronicles, Vols 1 & 2 , wrote that he gathered information from historical documents, private collections, manuscripts and other Woodruffs. His book is more than a genealogical account, it is a history of a family...how the Woodruffs lived, who they married, where they went. My father has kept the letters C N Woodruff wrote to his mother, a Woodruff from the line of John 1665 and his father’s mother, a Woodruff from the line of Joseph 1675. His new interest in the family tree created mine.
