azaleas, a douglas fir, always at this time of year the grass dies off around the fir trees in the garden leaving dry soil, covered in the brown pine needles,the grass never seemingly growing enough to merit running the decrepit lawnmower up and down the sizeable garden the plants and foliage thick and dark and not a square inch of the flower beds not covered in flourishing flowers,blues and whites spring up in unpredictable patches but tightlly packed to each other,the garden seemed ancient,seemed to maintain itself(he knew of course that it didn't having spent hours with his daughters having a tug-o-war with bind weed from the flower beds and the vegetable patch that had this year been left)he finished his teastood up from the rickety garden chair, it was no longer a lazy afternoon but the beginning of an evening.
The first and hardest thing you must do is admit you have a problem ,then and only then can you begin the long process of recovery but in the end its in your hands...
