The Goddess
Through the centuries that have past, the people have worshipped
the holy Mother, the Goddess. the Goddess has been known throughout the
world and remnants of the worship of the Goddess have shown that Goddess
worship was the first religion. The Goddess is the Mother of us all on Earth, from
the buzzing bee to the roaring lion. All fall to the love of the Goddess, for her
endless love conquers us all. The Goddess is the ever-giver of love, fertility, and
abundance. But with the gift of Life, comes her "reaping" of Death. No, she will
not take us to the oblivion, but will care for us until it is our time to continue our
spiritual quests back on Earth.
The Goddess is usually worshipped in her Triple-Goddess aspect. It
consists of the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Maiden- The Maiden is the blossoming rose, the new Spring.
The Goddess in the Maiden aspect is the youthful, big-eyed child. She is
represented by the New and Waxing Moon.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Mother- The Goddess in her Mother aspect is the full harvest
and the Full Moon. She is the care-taker of Nature and virgin-Goddess. In this
aspect She is heavy with life and Her womb throbs with the gift of Life.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Crone- The Goddess in the Crone aspect is the reaper of the
weak in Nature. She will take all that is not blessed with the survival instinct of the
God. This is not "bad", but it serves a nessesary need. it is to make room for the
new. Winter can be used to represent the Goddess in her Crone aspect. |
