When involved with the magick arts you have
to realize that magick is give and take process
that requires both a giver and a reciever. You
cannot cast a spell and not give anything back.
Magick is of Nature and should be treated like
such. Like nature, magick has to be given
something back so that it can work properly. If
you cast a spell to bring love into your life, you
cannot just sit in your room, hoping that
somebody will come and knock on your door.
In order for your spell to work you must go out
into the world and socialize.
The first thing to consider when casting
a spell, is if it is truly Harming None. Remember
the Wiccan Rede and abide by it, it is not only a
law that should be kept in mind in magick, but a
set of morals that should be kept throughout your
life as a Pagan. If you belong to a coven, discuss
it with them or talk to the High Priest/ess to share
their wisdom with you. If you are a solitary and do
not belong to a coven or group, then sit down in
your place of magick and go over your spell or
operation in your mind. You might even consider
writing about it in your journal and decide if the
magick is truly Harming None. |
