Casting a Circle

Casting the Circle:

Take your athame or your wand and dip the tip into the
bowl of water, saying:
"Creature of Water, cast out from thyself all impurities
and uncleanliness of this world"

Then dip your athame (or wand) into the bowl of salt,
saying:
"Creature of Earth, let only good enterto aid me in
my work"

Stir three scoops of salt into the water, and visualize
all the negative energies leaving and being drawn out. Now,
holding the athame (or wand) in front of you, begin to visualize
the energy of Spirit (good energy), in the form of a blue flame,
coming through in to the point of the athame (or wand). Begin
walking in a deosil (clockwise) manner, pointing your athame
or wand down at the edge of the circle as you say:

"I conjure and create thee, O circle of power. Be thou
a boundary between the world of men and the realm of the
MMighty Ones. Be thou a sphere of protecton to preserve and
contain all powers raised within. Let now this circle be a place of
peace, love, and power. So Mote It Be!"

With the circle now complete, you should not step
outside the boundary of the circle until you have completed your
ritual or magickal working.

Note: this circle casting format was inspired from the
book: 'Secrets of Modern Witchcraft Revealed', by Lady Sabrina
