| Kenny Irwin. Born, August 5, 1969. Died, July 7, 2000. Kenny Irwin had a lot to be proud of as a racer. He won Rookie of the Year in 1998 and was getting closer and closer to that first win. He was improving more and more until his life was cut way short at Loudon when his throttle stuck and he hit the wall and flipped just yards away from where Adam Petty did. He dide about 2 hours later. Let us remember a great racer who could have been a future Winston Cup Champion, Kenny Irwin. |
