DETROIT TIGERS BASEBALL CLUB
Proud Sponsors of the Eagles and Australian Baseball

The Detroit Tigers have been very generous to provide game hats for the Eagles to wear during the 2001 Australian Tournaments in Cairns & Brisbane.

RANDY JOHNSON, the Tigers former Roving Hitting Instructor and Scouting Supervisor for Australia, deserves special recognition and thanks for his support of the American Eagles Baseball Club and the USA/Australia Baseball Exchange.

RANDY JOHNSON and former Tigers' General Manager RANDY SMITH have played a large role in the development of Australian Baseball since 1989. First with the San Diego Padres, then with the Detroit Tigers, JOHNSON and SMITH have signed several Australian players to professional contracts over the years, including former Major League Pitcher Mark Ettles.

The Eagles and the USA/Australia Baseball Exchange extend gracious "thank yous" to the Tigers, RANDY JOHNSON and RANDY SMITH for their ongoing support of the program.
