Techdecks are the best fingerboards that I have seen. They have real griptape, real metal trucks, cool graphics, and fast rolling wheels. Even though they are the superior brand of fingerboards, they have a few problems that you should know about. First off, these fingerboards can break very easily after being played with for a long time. The wheels sometimes fall off and not just the wheel the whole thing that holds on the wheel. Don't try fixing this with model glue because I tried it and it doesn't work too well,but someone wrote me and told me that super glue workd pretty well.
I another thing is that I've noticed that after a few weeks one of the trucks start getting really loose and it's not because of the kingpin. Try not to slam your fingerboard down really hard when landing a trick because it is actually slwoly bending the trucks.
I really wish that these things were stronger. There's not much else that you can do to fix these problems except buy one of those kits with extra trucks and tools. Always keep the extra bolts and screws that come with the fingerboard because you'll most likely need them later on. |
