| BSA 407 INTEGRATION PROJECT (BBA CAPSTONE COURSE) |
| January 2000 |
AVERETT COLLEGE GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
Addendum to the Published Student Module (February 2000)
Course Number and Title
BSA 407, Integration Project (BBA Capstone Course)
Course Description
A course designed to integrate and demonstrate the students professional and personal growth during his/her third and fourth year of baccalaureate study. The student will document one major assignment from each course that demonstrates the various forms of cognitive learning, i.e.: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. With this historical foundation, the student will prepare an assignment that demonstrates how the theoretical learning from the course work relates to the students: (1) workplace; (2) family; and (3) community service. The culminating activity for this course is the completion of a faculty-guided major written project encompassing an area of theory and practical application in the field of business, developed over the duration of the last three terms of the BBA program of study, which demonstrates the students knowledge of applied business research.

Expectations
This course has been designed to use the independent learning method with specific assignments due on dates mutually agreed upon by the student and the professor. Successful students will arrange periodic progress reviews with the professor by telephone, by computer, or in person. The intent is that students may use the entire length of the program to work on the requirements of this course but must complete all parts of it prior to the completion of the last term. The purpose is to allow the student and the professor the convenience and maximum flexibility in the scheduling and completion of assignments.
