If you've written a chapbook or have a collection of poetry or short stories, whatever - and want to get it "out there"... there are a lot of things to take into consideration. You can spend a lot of time, energy and postage writing to publishers and, unfortunately, maybe never get the response you're looking for.
That doesn't mean, however, you can't have your writings put into a small book form. If you want to know how, get in touch with us, and we'll "walk you through it" - without any charge whatsoever. But you have to be willing to do the work yourself. It's not difficult, but some folks don't have the time, the equipment or a good sense of graphic design, layout, typefaces, etc.
If that's the case with you, we may be able to help you.
And if we do, we'll charge you the very minimum - one hundred dollars to convert your e-mailed or attached file text into a professional looking, easy to read format which will be mailed back to you as copy-ready artwork which you can take to a local copy shop and have reproduced as you can afford.
We don't ask for money up front, and we won't bug you every thirteen days for payment. We work on a basis of mutual respect and expect that if we're honest with you, you will be honest with us. If you feel you can't afford a hundred bucks - i.e. are on a limited income (welfare, etc.) or have a very low budget... that's all right, too. Most likely, we can work something out.
NECESSARY DRIFT Press is not profit-geared. We want to see people get into print, because we know from many years of experience how difficult this can be.
So, if you're seriously considering putting your work into a book format, write and ask if we can help... maybe we can.
