The Offical Pokemon Site

Master Ball Cheat: When you throw a greatball hold up and b it will act as a master ball.(hint: hold it right before it hits the pokemon) Or it might be down and b and you can also use down a A when the pokeball is just about to close.

Easily Gain Level: To easily gain experience, simply switch the Pokémon you want to train with the top Pokémon on your list. When you go into battle the Pokémon will pop out. You can then switch to another Pokémon. Once you win the battle the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon will both gain experience points

Celadon Slot Tip: All of the slot machines have different odds, which change every time. Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot. If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon

Free Coins At Game Corner: Walk around the game corner pressing "a" and you will find coins

Phantom PC: Go to Celadon City and make your way to the motel. go to the far right wall and make ash look north and he be in the middle square. Press A and What's this? OHMYGOSH!!!! a Ghost computer!! Ok, so this isn't that big of a deal but it does works. Make sure you have your pokémon with CUT with you and go into the tall grass. Then use CUT. The grass will be gone and your injured pokémon won't have to fight.

Catch Safari Zone Pokemon out of the Safari Zone: go into the safari zone. walk around in a patch of grass ware the pokemon you want is. waste your time in that patch of grass.wen the time runs out go to cinabar island. surf up and down the right sid haf on land and haf in water. oventuly you will find that pokemon that you want and gess wat? no more bate and rockes.

Fish in a Gym: When you enter a gym go up to one of the statues and choose a rod to fish with. Usually you get good Pokemon.?

Catch Ditto Easily: to catch a ditto easy put magikarp at the top of your list and let ditto transform into him and then switch pokemon you can also do this with a tentacool...

Missingno VERY IMPORTANT: First, you have to go trade with the guy on Cinnabar is. that wants aponyta for a seel. as soon as you get it go to the coast of the is. usea pokemon that has surf and surf up and down the coast half on half off the is. you will run into Missinggo the 152 pokemon! He's actually #000 but his attack is about 230 but his def is only 13 so use a weak pokemon. you can fight him more than once though and believe me this works.

Get Pokemon Over L100: Do the same thing you do to catch Missingno and you will eventually fight pokemon over L100, all games have different pokemon over L100, but once they get any EXP POINTS it goes to level 100, so use them in battles with your freinds. ALSO THERE IS A LITTLE SECRET WITH THESE POKEMON, SIGN MY GESUT BOOK AND ASK ME IF YOU WANT TO KNOW IT, i'LL E-MAIL YOU THE HUGE SECRET THEN, BYE

Items found with the Itemfinder: Here are some really good items that I have found using the Itemfinder! *Full Restore in Victory Restore in Victory Road near the exit *PP Up on Route 17 on right side of cycling road *PP Up on Route 13 *Max Ether on the small island while your are traveling to Victory Road *Nugget in Route 7 underground path *Full Restore, and X Special in route 5 underground path *Ether in Unknown Dungeon on first floor *Rare Candy in Cerulean City in the backyard of the house in the top left corner nearest to the Unknown Dungeon *Great Ball in trash can in the kitchen of The S.S. Anne

99 of any item : First fly to viridian and talk to the old guy who shows u how to catch a weedle. When he asks are you in a hurry respond no, then watch him catch a weedle. After he shows you how, take the item yuo want 99 of and make it the 6th item on your list. Now fly to fushia city. Use surf and surf to the coast of Seafoam. DO NOT GET OFF. Now surf on the coast of seafoam until u fight a pokemon called M'. it looks like a missigno. Now after you defeat him or run (DO NOT CAPTURE) look at your 6th item. u should have 99!

Duplicate PokéMon: This code let's you double a rare Pokémon, but the other Pokémon is deleted. First, have one person select a rare Pokémon or one that is at higher level than yours. Second, have the other person select an easy one to get like Pidgey or Ratatta. Then have the person the has the rare Pokémon turn thier Game Boy off as soon as it says WAITING!. Then have the person with the common one turn thier Game Boy off. If all this was done correctly, you each should have the rare Pokémon, and the common one should be gone. I am not sure if it works becuase I haven't done it.

999,999 money code: It is called the item warper. First go to Cinnabar Island. go inside the pokemon lab, and trade with one of the guys there. Then move a nugget or expensive TM near the top of you item list. Then surf up and down the right side of the island, where it looks like you are half on land and half on the water and hold down "a". In a couple seconds you will run into missingno. There are a lot of him so don't worry if you kill him. he has really high attack but defense sucks ass. Catch at least one of him. Then look at your items. There will be a little symbol in front of a nine where the number is for that one item. Then go to the pokemart. Go to sell. Sell that item with the symbol, but press down when he asks you how many you want to sell. You have thousands of bucks!!!! This is a really neat trick that I stumbled upon while goofing around, and now i have 999,999 dollars in my game :)

PokeGods: There are such things as pokegods. To get them beat the Elite Four 30 times without talking to anyone in between the nurse in the pokecentre at Indigo Platue or what ever it is, and the riv . On the thirtith times Professer Oak will say "I'm getting tired of this" and he will let you walk around the hall of fame which leads to a new city where people will swap pokegods

Mew: Get the magicarp which that guy at the entrence of mount moon sells you. put it in the daycare centre until level 50 and the magicarp will evolve into mew

Chrona Myuu: Myuu can evolve into Chrona Myuu. Go to the Seafoam Islands and use the Itemfinder to locate the Mist Stone. There is only one, and is very difficult to find.

Both Fossils I just found this out! To get both of the fossils from Mt. Moon, you need to catch the Mewtwo and have a Poemon that has Dig. After you catch Mewtwo, you IMMEDIATLEY use dig and then, after you dig, you fly to Fuschia City and go to the Safari Zone. It should be in one of the rest areas.

Duplicate Any Pokémon

1.Go to the guy who shows you how to catch Pokémon, and he will ask you if you are in a hurry, say yes, and then talk to him again and say no.

2.Fly to cinnabar and surf up and down the coast.

3.Pokémon will apear like Lv.156 muk and all sorts of stuff, including Missingno. and 'M (Mysterio).

4.After a Lv.0 'M apears catch it once and it will not go away so catch it again, and then it will say you caught a Ditto.

5.Go to your box and release the 'M and then withdraw Ditto, Ditto will be whatever Pokémon you had in the 4th position of your group.

More cheats and more hints

Cheats for Pokemon:

Unlimited Item
First, go to Viridian City. Talk to the old man that teach you how to catch pokemon. Say no when he asks you. Then fly or surf to Cinnabar Island. Place your item that you want to duplicate it in the 6th place. Surf in the side of Cinnabar Island where you see half of your body is in the land and half of your body is in a water. Then you will soon fight with Missingno. Just kill it. Then you will see your item, the one that you want to duplicate is strange. It has already unlimited, if it's look strange.

Standing on the Tree
This is a silly cheat. First, cut the tree, then stand on the area where the tree is. Save your game and turn your game off. Turn your game on again. You will see your body is on the tree.

Mew (Japanese version)
If you have Japanese and if you got all 150 pokemon and you have beat Elite 4, go to Celadon Mansion and talk to the guy who is not on the computer. He will give you Mew.(only in Japanese version). In the American version, he will give you a diploma.

Pokemon Hall of Fame
If you want to stay in the Hall of Fame, just beat Elite 4. 30 times without turning your games off. If you beat Elite 4, 100 times, you can get HM 06(blast). If you have this HM, you can go to the grass area in the side of Pallet Town. In the Pokemon Hall of Fame, you can trade a bad pokemon for a rare pokemon, like Pidgey for Mew.

Secret Office
This cheat is realy hard and you have to be in time. First go to Power Plant. Fight with Voltorb and after you fight with Voltorb, quickly check the rock in the Power Plant, because you can go through one of the rock.
You can only go through to that rock in 10 second. After
you go through one of the rock, the game will send you to Secret Office. In Secret Office, you can find a pokeball and inside the pokeball is Pikablu. You will see a hole too.If you go to the hole, the game will send you to the grass area in the side of Pallet Town.

Red and Blue Version Codes

-Master Ball Cheat
I am not sure if this really works, but when you throw any kind of ball at a Pokémon press and hold Up + B together, and it should act like a Master Ball. This code might not always work.

-Rare Pokémon Cheat
Before fighting a rare Pokémon ( Mewtwo, Snorlax, or the 3 Mystical Birds) save your game. This way if you miss the Pokémon you can turn the game off and on again, and you have another chance to catch the rare Pokémon. Do this as many times as nessasary.

-Fight Land Pokémon In Water
First go into any Pokémon field or terrain where Pokémon lurk (tower, mansion, etc.). Go into battle once (it doesn't matter if you run) and FLY to Fushia City. SURF down to Seafoam Islands from there and SURF along the right side edge so it looks like you're half on land, half on water. SURF up and down the shore and the Pokémon that were in the last area you fought in will be there! HINT: this is especially helpful with the Safari Zone, cause then you dont have to use Safari Balls and you can battle them until they're weak!

-Coin Cheat
Need some quick coins? Walk around inside the Game Corner and you can pick up a few coins!.

-Slot Machine Odds
All of the slot machines have different odds, which change every time. Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more, then stick with that one, because it's probably hot. If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or Bar Bar Bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

-Missingno. And Other Pokémon Over lv.100
(Note: We are not responsible for whatever happens to your game)
This is by far, the coolest trick so far that works. Remeber that you need to surf along the right side of Cinnibar Island, so it looks like you're half on land and half on water. You must hold either A, B, or A+B to get these Pokémon in the second cheat, but I am not sure if you have to in the Missingno. cheat. There are different instructions for each :
MISSINGNO.: To get Missingno. you need to go into the Cinnibar Labs and trade a Venonat for a Tangela ( If thats not it then its a Raichu for Electabuzz ). Then you need to go to Bill's PC , Deposit Tangela (Crinkles), and withdraw a Pokémon with the surf ability. Then as it says above, surf along the right side of Cinnibar Island, so it looks like you're half on land and half on water. Eventually you run into Missingno. People suggest you use Ditto, hit him with 2 Water Guns, and throw an Ultra Ball at him. He has no Pokédex entry, but you can check out his stats, and he does screw up the graphics. We suggest you dont save the game, because he is very mysterious, and you never know what will happen!
POKéMON ABOVE LV. 100: To get Pokémon over Level 100, you must first fly to Viridian City, and talk to the man north of the city who blocked your way earlier in the game. He will ask if you are in a hurry, say "no" and he will show you how to catch a Pokémon. After his demonstration, fly down to Cinnibar Island and surf along the right side of Cinnibar Island, so it looks like you half on land and half on water, while holding either A, B, or A+B. Eventually you run into some Pokémon over Level 100. I found a Haunter, Muk, and 'M, while others claim of finding a Mewtwo, Mew, Charmeleon, Golduck, Electrode, and much much more!

-Get 99 Of An Item
Use the codes explained above to run into cool, high level Pokémon. When you run into Missingno. or something, use the Run option and run away. The 6th item on the Item list should say 9, meaning you now have 99 of that item! It's even better then the Master Ball cheat, instead of taking chances just keep restocking with 99 Master Balls!

-CUT Trick
This is helpful if you have a Pokémon with CUT and your Pokémon are weak. You can use CUT to chop down part of a grassy area. NOTE: The grass does grow back later on.

-Duplicate Pokémon
This works on both American Versions. It may erase a saved game, but it worked fine for most people.
Here is a trick to duplicate your Pokemon. I will try to explain it the best I can. For this trick to work, you need both games and two Game Boys linked together. Here is what you do:
1) Put the Pokémon you want duplicated into one of the games. Either red or blue. Let's use red for an example.
2) Put a Pokémon you don't mind losing in the other cartridge. Which is blue. 3) Go to the trade center and trade the Pokémon you want duplicated (red) with the one you want to erase (blue).
4) After they are traded, leave the game (blue) on with the Pokémon you erased and turn the game (red) off with the Pokémon you wanted duplicated, before the "Trade Completed" sign appears, right after the "Waiting..." sign disappears.
5) If you did the steps right, the game (red) with the Pokémon you wanted duplicated should still be there and the one you erased on the other game (blue) should be the same as the one you traded. I tried to explain it as best as I could remember so don't get mad at me if you can't get it working.
Note: They say this might mess up your game, but it worked fine with many people. If anything happens to your game please don't blame me. Someone else told me this trick.

-Catch Mewtwo
To catch Mewtwo (#150) you must first defeat the Elite 4 and be added to the hall of fame. Wait until the credit's are over, and then wait until the title screen appears. Continue your game and you'll be back at your house with the Pokemon you used. Then FLY to Cerulean City, and go up the bridge where the 5 trainers were. At the end, SURF across the river on the left until you reach an entrance to a cave. Navigate to the very end of the cave, until you reach Mewtwo.
If you have the Master Ball you can catch him without harming him, but if you don't, you'll have to catch him the old fashioned way. Either poison, paralyze, lull him to sleep, or use any other harmful conditions to catch him with an Ultra Ball, and make sure his life is very low. Hint: save the game right before you battle Mewtwo, this way if you screw up you can turn off the game and turn it back on, providing you with unlimited chances!

-Quickly Train Weak Pokémon
Trouble with Abra? Cant seem to evolve Magikarp? Still trying to get a Butterfree? Put a no-talent-weak-Pokémon at the top of your list and battle him against a strong Pokémon. On your first move switch the weak Pokémon with a good Pokémon. The weak one will get quite a bit expirience!

-Moon Stone Locations
1) In the upper-lefthand corner of the first floor of Mt. Moon. 2) In the basement of the game corner. 3) In the bottom-right corner of Route 2 (CUT). 4) In Mt. Moon, before the Supernerd's platform (where you get a fossil), there is a corridor 1 space wide and 4 spaces long, go to the end of it, press A, and you magically get a Moon Stone. 5) In the Abandoned Mansion on Cinnabar Island, go up to the right side of one of the pillars on the right-hand side near the entrance. Press A and it will say you found a Moon Stone.

Tips & Tricks

Note: It might be helpful to see the Miscellaneous Game Info section for stuff like which Pokémon are available on which pak and more. Another helpful place would be to look in the Item List section too. For help on the Gym Leaders and the Elite Four, click here.

To get Mew (151th Pokémon):
Although Nintendo themselves say that you cannot get Mew, or Myuu, in the US version, some sites have claimed that they've catched Mew in the Japanese version. I heard that he's in the cave where you can get Mewtwo. A site (This is for the Japanese version) said you have to go to Shion Town and ask the nickname changer to change your Koiking's nickname to Mew. Go into your tools, go down to the 13th tool and click SELECT at least 8 times. Now ask the nickname changer to change the Koiking's nickname again. The monster will blink, the changer won't do it and you have Mew!

To gain experience faster:
To easily gain experience, use the Pokémon you want to train with the top Pokémon on your list. When you go into battle the Pokémon will pop out. You can then switch to another Pokémon. Once you win the battle the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon will both gain experience points.

Easier way of catching Pokémons:
When you are trying to catch a Pokémon, after sending a Pokéball, hit the A button while repeatedly pressing the right arrow key. If it doesn't work the first couple of times keep trying, it should work after a practice shots.

Some GameShark Codes:
Infinite Money: 01ff16d0
No Wild Pokémon battles: 01033cd1
Infinite HP: 019947d3 019948d3 019949d3

GameShark Code for Mew:
0115d8cf
To start with Mew: 01151ed1

Pokémon No. 000:
If you use one Japanese version and one American version to trade. Trade 3 Times
and the American Version will get Pokemon No 000. So there are actually 152 Pokemon. Pokemon No 000 is level 254, but he doesn't obey you at all even if you have Giovanni's Earth Badge.

Master Ball Cheat:
When you throw a Great Ball, hold UP and B. This will make it act like a Master Ball.

Saving money in Pokémarts:
If you want to buy a large amount of one item buy three. You will discover that buying items in groups of three is free or the store pays for. I got many expensive items like this.
Note: This trick only works in certain marts and only on certain items.

Secret Coins:
There are hidden coins lying around in the Game Corner. You can pi
