Freeza's special task force that he calls in when he's henchmen can't do the job. The team consits of Recoom, Guldo, Jase, Berter, and Captain Ginyu.(or just plain Ginyu.) They are first called in when Freeza finds out that Vegeta has 6 of the DragonBalls and that Zarbon cannot find him. The Ginyu Force finds Krillin, Gohan, and Vegeta, and steals their DragonBalls. Ginyu takes the balls back to Freeza, while the rest of the team decides to take turns fighting the trio. Guldo attacks Krillin and Gohan, and when he uses his mind freeze technique he freezes the two fighters and prepares to kill them. Then Vegeta jumps in and easily knocks off his head.(Not that we get to see this in the American version of course!) Next is the fight between Vegeta and Recoom. Vegeta uses all of his power but still cannot overcome him. Krillin then is easily defeated with a kick to the head, but then Gohan fights his hardest against the Ginyu warrior. He puts up a good fight, but in the end, he loses, and ends up with a snapped neck. Then, in the nick of time, Goku arrives on Namek. He quickly beats Recoom with an elbow to the stomach, and then easily beats Berter. Jase then runs to retrieve Ginyu, because he knows he won't stand a chance against him. Ginyu and Goku fight, but Ginyu realizes he can't win, so he uses his switch forms technique, and then is transferred to Goku's body. Ginyu then attacks Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta. But to Ginyu's dismay, Vegeta is fighting like a Super Sayian! Ginyu then tries to use his switch forms technique on Vegeta, but a frog is thrown in the way and Ginyu is stuck in the body of a frog forever. And that's the end of Ginyu.
