GT Introduction With the summer of 1995 came the end of one of the greatest anime's ever, Dragonball Z. Many people didn't want it to end though, especially the companies. Dragonball had been such a great merchandise hit, marketing things such as clocks, posters, and even eyedrops (quite an interesting commercial for the eyedrops). So with pressure from companies and agencies a new program was made to fill Dragonball Z' place, Dragonball GT. This time though Toriyama was only an artistic consultant and had no direct control over the series. Also, for the first time DB the tv series was not accompanied by a manga.

So on Februrary 7, 1996 Dragonball GT began. What did people think of it? To be honest most people did not like it. You may wonder why. The main reason was because they had fallen in love with the fighting style anime in DBZ, but when DBGT was created, the first eps were full of comedy with fighting as only the second aspect of the show. So that is how it was, most people did not like the show. Around the Spring of 1996 Akira Toriyama in an interview joked about bringing back DBZ if DBGT didn't do as well as it was supossed to. A group of people though, who hated the currect show, took seriously and were extremely happy that DBGT may be ending soon. Of course the truth was found out and DBGT went on. What would happen to DBGT? Well, finally the show began to go back to being a fighting anime and this began to get epople a little more interested into the show. The effort though was to little to late. The show was originally going to end around April 1997, but DB Final Bout by Sony Playstation had not come out, yet. So the producers were forced to extend the show a little bit longer, but they day finally came. On November 19, 1997 DBGT aired its last episode. The last episode of DBGT amazingly though is considered to be the best epsidode they have ever seen by a lot of people. Dragonball GT was the shortest of the three series, spanning only 64 epsisodes and 1 tv special. So how could a show with the success of DB all of a sudden fail in DBGT. There are many reason's. It is almost like american DB. A lot of people are used to the origianl japanese Dragonball, but now that they watch the dubs they do not like them at all. In short People do not like change. Well, with DBGT came change. First off all, DBGT was changed from a fighting anime into a comedy relief anime and only changed its direction after there fan base had already turned away. The absence of Akira Toriyama did not help much either. After Toriyama left, Toei took over the hiring of artists and many people did not like the new character designs. So, probably the main reason that DBGT failed was because it was to different, the people had grown used to one thing and then all of a sudden things were changed, as if they wouldn't notice.

It is my job though in the following pages to try and tell you all I know of DBGT, A series that I enjoyed and hopfully you will to. In these pages you will find episode summaries, images, DBGT perfect file guides, and everything else I think you should know about DBGT. There is only one way I can finish off this introduction though and here it is. Before you go and watch DBGT I am going to give you this advice. Do not listen to everyone who says that DBGT stinks. Go into it with an open mind and know it will be different, if you go into it thinking that it will be a direct continuation of DBZ then you will be disappointed. Oh yeah, and by the way, enjoy!

GT Episode Guide

Episode 1
The mysterious Dragonballs appear!! Gokuu becomes a child!?

While training at Kami's Lookout Gokuh is turned into a kid using the Black Star Dragonballs, the wish was made by Pilaf. Gokuh and gang have one year to search the universe for the balls before the Earth is blown up.

Episode 2
I am the Leader! Pan Flies into Space!!

Gokuh is kidnapped by a couple of kidnappers who thinks that he is part of the Briefs family. Gokuh finally leaves them to go to the space ship. When lift off time approaches, Pan and not Goten is the one who goes into space with Gokuh and Trunks.

Episode 3
The Ultimate Moneygrubbers!! Imegga, Planet of Merchants Trunks lands on Planet Imega to get repair parts for the ship. While on the Planet the Z gang learns of how greedy the planet is. At the end of the episode a robot swallows the Dragon Radar and Trunks space ship is towed away.

Episode 4
Wanted!! Gokuu is a criminal!? Gokuh and gang sneak into Don Kia's Castle to get back their space ship. Even though the guards become aware of their presence they still escape with the space ship. Gokuh, Trunks, and Pan are now wanted criminals on Imega.

Episode 5
See, the Strong Guy!! The Bodyguard Rejjik Thanks to an older couple the Z travelers learn about how evil Don Kia really is. After hearing this they allow themselves to be arrested so that they may fight Don Kia. After Gokuh defeats Rejjik, Don Kia is forced to give up and Imega is now a free planet. Episode 6
It hurts, eh!? Gokuu the dentist

Gokuh and Gang land on a planet Momasu. Everything on the planet is Super Sized. After saving Pan from a beehive, the Z warriors must get the next Dragonball. They group finds that Dragonball lodged in the tooth of a giant, but they manage to get it.

Episode 7
Beloved Honey!? The Betrothed is Trunks

The next planet is Planet Kerubo in which a monster named Zuunama is plaguing the planet. Zuunama is able to create earthquakes. In order to get the Dragonball of the planet the Z warriors will defeat the beast. Trunks takes the place of Reenu as the monsters bride.

Episode 8
Gokuu also Thunders!! The Whiskers' Power is at Full

Back at Zuunana's house Trunks is able to get the monster drunk and then he passes out. The Z warriors then cut off his earthquake causing whiskers. We then learn that he never could create earthquakes, but only detect them. The Z warriors get the Dragonball for keeping their promise, but at the end of the episode an alien steals the Dragonball, though.

Episode 9
Damn!! Gokuu Leaps into the Trap Planet!?

Trunks and gang chase the aliens into Planet Bihe, which is inhabited by Giant worms. Once inside it is almost impossible to escape. After tricking the Z warriors into going into the planet the aliens go back to their planet. The aliens are then told to go get the other Dragonball that is on the Z warrior's ship.

Episode 10
Dance Attack!? Bonpappa!!

After defeating the worms, The Paras put the Z warriors under a spell which makes them dance. The worms come back though and the spell is broken and this gives the Z warriors time to defeat The Paras. While Pan is on the Paras ship looking for the Dragonball it takes off and goes back to the Planet Rudo.

Episode 11
The Curse of Ruudo!? Pan turns into a Doll

Once on Planet Rudo Pan goes to get the Dragonball, while doing so, though, she is turned into a doll by M2. Trunks and Gokuh show up and they defeat a Lion and M2, M2's whip then takes its true form of Muchi, the real priest of Rudo.

Episode 12
The Oracle of God is REALLY Troublesome!! Soldier Ruudo

Muchi is a demon who has the power to control the Earth. Gokuh and Trunks are being beaten by Muchi, until Gokuh goes SSJ and this surprises Muchi. Trunks then Goes SSJ and the battle is more even. Meanwhile, Doru-Takki turns all of Rudo's followers into dolls so that he can use their energy to awaken Rudo. At the end of the episode Rudo is finally being awakened.

Episode 13
This is Father and Son? The Riddle of Scientist Myuu

Trunks and Gokuh begin to fight Rudo, the two Saiya-jins are winning the fight. When Doru-Takki will not give up Pan to Dr. Myuu, Dr. Myuu turns Doru-Takki into a doll and he sacrafices Doru-Takki and Pan to Rudo. Rudo is now set for his final stage.

Episode 14
Can We Get the Rhythm Down Perfectly!? Capture Ruudo!!

Gokuh and Trunks are still fighting full strength Rudo. Pan from inside of Rudo awakens all the other people who were sacraficed. Pan and Gokuh must both attack Rudo's heart at the same time, but they can not hear one another. Pan talks to Gokuh telepathically through the Para Brothers and after many tries Gokuh and Pan defeat Rudo and everyone is returned to normal.

Episode 15
I Can't Take Anymore!! Pan Runs Away!?

While on Planet Rudeze, Pan gets mad at Trunks and Gokuh and runs away. While walking, Pan runs out of water and finally collapses, but Gill comes to her rescue. Pan is awakened to see that Gill has saved her, found water, and also found the 5 start Dragonball.

Episode 16
Machine Planet M2... Gill the Backstabber!?

Gill convices the Z warriors to land on Planet M2, his home planet. It is a trap though and Gill is greeted by Shogun Rirudo and is told he has done a good job of luring the humans to the planet. At the end of the episode the Z warriors meet up with a group of strong robots whoe call themselves "M2's commandoes". After a short fight the robots capture Trunks and Gokuh and take them away.

Episode 17
Waiting for Pan!! The Tactical Strike to Rescue Gokuu!!

Pan sneaks into the tower in which Gokuh and Trunks are and is disguised as a robot. Through a course of events Pan finds out about Dr. Myuu and where Gokuh and Trunks are. Gokuh and Trunks are being examined Rirudo and the Ener Cannon Shin Go are all watching the Z warriors previous fights. While going to rescue Gokuh and Trunks, Pan runs into the smallest of the Ener Cannon robots and defeats him. Pan then goes to save Gokuh and Trunks and in the process Gokuh and Trunks break free.

Episode 18
Hey, Some Data is Missing!! Gokuu's Ultimate True Determination

Gokuh tells Pan and Trunks to escape. The Ener Cannon Robots combine to form the Mega Cannon. After letting the Mega Cannon fight Gokuh declares that he knows the extent of its power and Gokuh then defeats the Mega Cannon. Gokuh now must fight a much stronger force, though, the powerful Shogun Rirudo.

Episode 19
Set Out and Attack!! The Mighty Mutant Rirudo

Rirudo shows up and after some talking turns Trunks into a metal tablet and is transported away. Pan goes to get him while Gokuh and Rirudo fight. After fighting for a while Gokuh goes to Super Saiya-Jin and Rirudo also goes to his final form. The fight continues.

Episode 20
Surprise!! Gokuu's Attacked By a Metal Storm

Gokuh is beginning to defeat Rirudo when Gokuh demands for him to go to full strength. Rirudo's new form is now able to control the whole planet. Meanwhile, Pan is still trying to get to Trunks. Pan is able to recover one of the Dragonballs, and Gokuh and Rirudo are still fighting.

Episode 21
What is this!! Gokuu is Turned to Metal!?

The fight continues throughout the city, but because of Pan, Rirudo is able to encase both Pan and Gokuh in metal tablets. On Myuu's planet the operating begins, but Gill shows up and frees Trunks, Gokuh, and Pan. Apparently, this has been the plan the whole time, so Gill is not a traitor.

Episode 22
Violent Ambition!! Birth of the Evil 'Baby'

The Z gang are shown a secret room on Myuu's where Bebi is being maintained. Trunks says that he has shut down Bebi because of how powerful he is. Myuu gets mad and attempts to save Bebi. Finally, Bebi awakens, but all three of the Z warriors fire and kill Bebi. Myuu takes Bebi's remains and escapes, but while traveling, Bebi takes over Myuu's body, bursting out and killing Myuu.

Episode 23
A Hidden Crisis!? A Space wrecked and Mysterious Boy

The three Z travelers find the one start Dragonball on a destroyed ship. While on the ship Pan locates a boy who is barley alive and the travelers land on a near by planet so the boy may be treated. While in the emergency room, though, the boy causes a large explosion and everyone goes to see what it is.

Episode 24
Bebi's Counterattack!! Target the Saiya-jin!!

It is revealed that Bebi has taken over the boy's body and is now looking to obtain the power of the three Saiya-Jin. So he will be able to get out of the hospital, Bebi takes over the body of a doctor. Bebi eventually enters Trunks body through a wound, but is not strong enough to take over Trunks. Bebi escapes and the three Saiya-Jin continue their search for the Dragonballs.

Episode 25
Oh no!! Baby Has Appeared on Earth

Back on Earth, Goten is on a date while at the same time Bebi is destroying everything in his way in an attempt to find the Saiya-Jin. Around this same time Gokuh has found the seven star Dragonball and now only two Dragonballs remain to be found. Mr. Satan has now showed up to fight Bebi, but when he sees Goten, he has Goten fight for him. Goten and Bebi's true forms are now ready to do battle.

Episode 26
Gohan and Goten... The Worst Brotherly Spat!?

Goten isn't having much of a problem with Goten, but through his carelessness, Bebi is able to enter and take over Goten's body. Meanwhile, Gokuh recovers yet another Dragonball and now only one remains. Back on Earth, Gohan and Goten begin to fight, Gohan realizes that something has taken over Goten. While he is powering up, though, Bebi enters into Gohan's body and then goes to look for Vegeta.

Episode 27
Ambition Achieved!? Vegeta Possessed.

Goten is back at Capsule Corp being treated and Bebi goes off to fight Vegeta. Bebi finds Vegeta and the two talk before fighting. We learn that Bebi is of the Tsufuru-jin race. During the fight Goten shows up and attacks Vegeta and we learn that Bebi leaves an egg in all every body he takes over. Bebi eventually takes over Vegeta's body and meanwhile, Gokuh has found the final Dragonball.

Episode 28
Gokuh Returns... "All of Earth is My Enemy!?"

Trunks, Gokuh, and Pan return to Earth and give the Dragonballs to Dende, but Dende has been possessed by Bebi. Gill and Trunks go to Capsule Corp where no one meets them and Pan and Gokuh go back to the countryside where Videl and Chi Chi act like zombies. The egg in Trunks is activated and back at the countryside, Goten and Gohan attack Gokuh and Pan.

Episode 29
This is Really Bad!? Supper Saiya-jin 3 Fails!!

Gokuh now realizes that Bebi controls everyone. Super Saiya-Jin 3 Gokuh begins to fight Vegeta, but Vegeta has no problem and Gokuh has to power down because he can not handle SSJ3 for long. The fight goes on for longer and Gokuh is no longer able to move. Vegeta goes into Perfect Bebi form and uses a Death Ball to blast Gokuh and everyone thinks Gokuh is dead.

Episode 30
Gokuh Has Passed On!? "I'm Dead."

Bebi Vegeta takes his throne and wishes for a planet to be placed next to Earth which was like his old planet. Meanwhile, Gokuh is playing a game with Suguro to decide wether or not he is dead or not. We learn from Dai Kaioshin that Gokuh can not be rescued.

Episode 31
What the...!? The Sky of Suguro-ku Studio is Collapsing

It is found out that Suguro and his son are cheaters and because of the Suguro-ku begins to fall apart, but Gokuh saves them. As Gokuh escapes, Kibito shows up and teleports Gokuh to Dai Kaioshins. Dai Kaioshin is training Gokuh. Pan, Satan, and Buu have snuck onto Planet Plant, but Pan has been caught and is about to be killed until Ubuu intervens.
Episode 32
Gokuu Returns!! Angry Fighter Ubuu

Ubuu begins to fight Bebi and is holding his own. Back at Dai Kaioshins, Dai Kaioshin is going to pull out Gokuh's tail with a pair of pliers so Gokuh will have more power. Ubuu can not move and Vegeta-Bebi is going to use his Death Ball, but Buu jumps in the way and takes the blast. Buu and Ubuu merge, and Ultimate Ubuu goes to fight Vegeta Bebi.

Episode 33
Eat This, Bebi! New Ubuu's Killing Light Ray!!

Vegeta Bebi and Ubuu begin to fight and Ubuu is easily handling Vegeta Bebi. Meanwhile, Gokuh finally has his tail pulled out all the way. Ubuu fires a blast at Bebi, but it is returned and Ubuu is turned into chocolate and eaten. Gokuh shows up, but can't seem to hurt Bebi. After looking at the Earth, though, Gokuh changes into a Golden Oozaru Monkey.

Episode 34
The Transformation Fails!? Giant Ape Gokuh's Rampage!

Golden Oozaru Gokuh is destroying Vegeta Bebi and Planet Plant and is enjoying it. Gokuh sees the Earth and tries to reach it, while Pan tries to reming Gokuh of who he is. During all of this Gokuh goes Super Saiya-Jin 4.

Episode 35
Final Strength! Gokuh Becomes Super Saiya-jin 4!!

SSJ4 Gokuh goes off to fight Vegeta Bebi, but Vegeta Bebi is no match for SSJ4 Gokuh. As Gokuh is about to kill Bebi, Bulma uses a machine to turn Vegeta Bebi into a Golden Oozaru and now the tables are turned.

Episode 36
Immortal Monster!? Atrocious Giant Monkey Bebi!!

The fight continues and we learn that Vegeta turned into a giant monkey, but Bebi is still in control. Bebi destroys some cities on Earth, which makes Gokuh mad. In an attempt to stop him, Gokuh takes on of the blasts and looks to be dead.

Episode 37
Baby and Gokuu -- Double KO!!

Bebi and Gokuh continue to fight and they knock each other out. Kibito goes to Dende's Lookout to get the Chou-sui water, which will cleanse away the evil of Bebi from everyone. As Kibito brings Gohan and Trunks back to normal, Vegeta Bebi and Gokuh begin to fight again, but Gokuh has no more power left.

Episode 38
From Everyone's Power... The Revival of Super Saiya-jin 4

Vegeta Bebi is now just playing with Gokuh, but Trunks interfers, but doesn't do much. Gokuh now asks his friends to give him their energy. From inside Vegeta Bebi, Ubuu is causing Bebi a massive stomachache and this gives the Z warriors enough time to re-energize Gokuh. Gokuh now feels that he can win.

Episode 39
This is How it Ends! At Last, Baby's Extinction.

The the fighters feel that they will win and the fight continues. After some taunting from Gokuh, Bebi fires off a huge Death Ball, but Gokuh manages to block it. Gokuh fires off a Kame Hame Ha, which puts Bebi down for the count. Bebi escapes from Vegeta's body and is trying to escape from the planet. Gokuh uses a Kame Hame Ha to destroy Bebi and then Chou sui water is used to return everyone to normal.

Episode 40
Everyone Escape!! 5 Seconds Before Earth Explodes

All of the Z member's work to move everyone off of the Earth and to Plant before it explodes. Finally when it is time for the Earth to blow up, Piccolo tells Gohan that he has grown up very well and that he will die with the Earth. The Earth explodes and a lit
