O.P.M. stands for OTHER PEOPLE'S MUSIC, if it isn't completely obvious. That is to make perfectly clear that none of the music itself is mine. I was inspired to create the first of these productions when I was once listening to music while a movie was playing, and for some reason it was perfectly synced. I was able resync the two from the start of the song, record and edit for content and length, and the rest is history. That song was FLOOR 6-10 from the UNSPOKEN disc.
The best part of these productions are that they are all my most favorite or distintive songs from my collection of music. There are some that are my best loved songs and others that just came out so well that I just enjoy listening to how they are put together. Anyway, I can't sell any of these songs, so I'd like to share them with everyone for another reason...I'd like input from other for ideas.
Think about your favorite movie and some of it's most memorable lines. Now think of a great song, instrumentals work best, but not completely neccesary. Or think of a song that supports the theme of a movie. This is exactly how I develop my ideas, and I'd like to hear some from other people.
