Rebel Assault
Released: 1993
Systems: Sega CD, 3DO
The Basics
Box cover.
Rebel Assault follows the basic plot of Episode IV and features many of the same events and locations. The main difference is that a character named Rookie One replaces Luke Skywalker as the hero of the story. The game takes advantage of the CD storage media for realistic video, graphics, and sound that seem like they are straight out of the movie.

I was unable to obtain a copy of Rebel Assault for critique, but the style of the game is very similar to its sequel, Rebel Assault II.
