Digimon the animated series start off at a summer camp when the 7 digi-destines are transported by these devices called digivices. There are 8 digi-destines but one of them joins the team later on. When the kids wake up they find themselfs in the Digtal World. When they wake up each of them have a small Digital monster called, Digimon closed to each of them. The group quickly become close friends and the digimon guide the digi-destines through the digital world. Each digi-destined has a digimon which is there protector from the evil Digimon in the Digital world. Later on in there journey the digimon were able to evolve from the power of the digivices and become more powerful digimon and also enter a new stage of the digimon called the rookie. When they have used up there power they will de-digivolve back to there rookie or in-training form. And from there the digi-destines continue there journey...
