| Since Gary came to the Pokemon Leage before you and he also beat them before you can have the title of words greatest Pokemon trainer you have to battle with him.The Pokemon he has is determined by what version and what starting Pokemon that you have. I would suggest having a mixed team with all of the Pokemon over level 65. Gary is rather easy to beat if you do but I know it's hard to have a mixed team since you can't go back to get different Pokemon and you try to get th ePokemon that beats the other Elites.
