| Welcome to our very first meeting of S.P.E.W! Once a week, we will meet to discuss different issues on house elves. Today's issues are: 1. After a recent discovery, I have learned that Hogwarts not only has House Elves, but does not pay them. I have planned a meeting with Professor Albus Dumbledore, our head-master, and will speak to him about this. 2. The House Elf Liberation Front has been discovered! The Hogwarts kitchen is filled with an assortment of House Elves. Some of the elves wish to be payed, but some do not. If we can teach them to understand why they are being treated cruel, we may have a chance to form some sort of a strike. Perhaps the strike may help bring payment to all House Elves across the Magic World. The password to the kitchen will be e-mailed to all members of S.P.E.W. That's all for this week in S.P.E.W, and remember to check out the kitchen whenever you can. When you visit, try to talk to the different elves about S.P.E.W. We'll meet here same time, same place, next week! |
