Keep A Typhoon From Destroying Your Greenhouse

I was playing Harvest Moon today and I discovered that you can keep a typhoon from destroying your greenhouse. All you have to do is keep your dog in the greenhouse and no matter what, nothing will happen to it. This might be considered a glitch, but it's saved me work nonetheless. Wish I found it sooner.

Power Berry Locations

Dig around your farm with the level 1 hoe.
Catch a LARGE fish then throw it in the fisherman's pond(only from 9-5).
Throw an egg or vegetable in the Spring Goddess's pond and wish for strenth (same time as the other one, and you must be at full strenth.)
Fish at the beach. It might take a while.
During winter dig in the mine. Find the holes and get to the 3rd level.
Win at the Egg festival.
Buy it at the Flower Festival for 1000G.
If your really, really nice to Basil (Popuri's Dad) he might give you one.
Plant some moon drop and Pink cat flowers (at least 5 of each plot) and Stu will give you some marbles. Give them to the elves in Moon Mountain.
With the level 3 hammer, go to the fisherman's pond and smash the big rock.

Free Milk

Once you get the bottle from Rick, go to one of your cows that is producing milk. Use the bottle on them and the cow should moo. The bottle will then be filled with milk. You can drink it to refill some energy. (You can do this infinite times. You can't sell this milk though so don't get confused)

To bet on the winning horse at the track is easy. There is a number beside the horse's name. The number shows the odds of that horse winning. Many times the horse with the lowest number (or the lowest chance of winning), will win. The safe bet, however, is to bet on the highest odd.

Free Wine

Go to the Moon Mountain Vineyard, and then go to the little house on the left that Karen is sometimes standing by. Go inside and go down the stairs where the bottles and barrels of wine are. There are two barrels with nozzles on the upper wall. Take the bottle that you bought from Rick and hit B when you are in front of the nozzle. If you do it correctly then you should get a free bottle of wine. IF you do this a lot then it raises your tolerance to alcohol. It impresses Karen if you can out-drink her.

Winning Karens Heart

To win Karens heart you must give her something everyday(Berries and Grapes Mostly) but DON'T give her fish, she hates fish and she isn't to happy with flowers.Another thing that will help is if you go to the pond by carpenters house and throw somthing that you grew (not something you found in the woods) into the pond, then a godess will come up and say something to you and ask you to make a wish, wish for love. Do this everyday and you can't go wrong, I didn't. P.S, talking to her at every festival wouldn't hurt.

Various Marriages

Harris and Maria: If you are nice to Harris (the mailman) and Maria (the libarian) Harris will come to your house one day and ask you to come to his wedding. You can tell if this is happening when you go to the libary and Maria gives Harris a letter.

Kia and Karen: - If you are nice and give presents to Karen and Kia (the worker at the vineyard) they will not move. But if you continue to be nice to them Kia will come to you house and ask you to come to his weddin. You can tell if this is happening if when you go to the bar Kia is talking about Karen.

Gray and Popuri: - If you give eggs to Gray (Ann's mean brother) you will become friends with him, also if you bring popuri flowers she will start to like you. Then one day Gray will stop by and ask you to come to his wedding.

The Treasure to the Map

In Harvest Moon 64 go to the tree in your back yard and stand right in front of it and press A. You will receive a "Treasure Map",When you read the directions its trying to say there is a treasure near the tree. First Go Directly to the dog house and line up with the right side of it, run to the right until you are lined up with the tree from your position. The last square in that row is were your the treasure is located. Pull out your Hoe and hit that spot until you find the treasure.The treasure happens to be a Music Box.Bring it to Ricks tool shop in summer and he will fix it for you.Give it to your girlfriend on here birthday.

Flower Shop Prizes

In the second year on the 9th of winter, Elli will come to your farm saying a cheerful "Hello?" Do not walk up to her or speak to her. If you do, she will talk about how she needs eggs for the Thanksgiving festival, blah-blah-blah! If you talk to her, once the conversation ends, the game freezes. To avoid this, do what I said, DON'T TALK TO HER!!! I learned this after having to restart the game 3 times!

Feed Animals During Typhoon

To feed your animals during a typhoon even though you can't get outside, be very nice to the elves and when it's the day before the typhoon the elves will visit your house and tell you that since you were so nice to them they will feed your animals during the upcoming typhoon!

P.S.: when they do this it's a good Idea to bring anything you can inside (Animals, Dog, Wood, etc.)

Girls Visit Your Farm

Avoid Typhoons

In order for this trick to work you must check the weather forecast early in the morning when you wake up. During the summer, if the weather lady says there will be a typhoon, go outside or to your refridgerator if you have built the kitchen and get a vegetable(eggs work too). Go to the pond by the carpenters' house where the godess of the spring is. Throw the vegetable in after 9:00 AM and wish for weather. This is especially good if you have lots of animals.

You should try to make the best out of the days by using your time wisely. In any building structure, in the menu, or when your talking/reading, the time does not go by it is paused. The best thing you can plant is the tomatos. After the buying of the seeds, how long they take to grow, and the value of seeling them. Tomatos make 66.67 gold a day for you. Corn only makes 60.00 gold, and Strawberrys only make 58.34 gold. The Rest are all less. And the best thing is tomatos you only have to buy the seeds once! Because after you Harvest them, they regrow!

Alcohol Resistance

This is a helpful trick on keeping you from passing out at the New Year's Festival. Each time you visit the Village Bar, buy a few of the alcoholic drinks. Doing this will build up your resistance to the drink, which in turn will keep you from passing out as soon at the Festival. Also, Karen really likes it if you can out drink her, so if you're going after Karen, try this out.

Quick Milk Upgrades

This is a trick that will quickly get your cow to produce large milk. It's really simple. Go to the Green Ranch and buy some medicine for animals. Then don't feed your cow for one day. Heal it with the medicine the next day and continue to care for it. It should upgrade to the next level of milk immediatly or in the next couple of days. Just keep doing this untill it has large milk. Oh and dont try to get special milk by doing this you can only get that by wining the cow festival.

Revive the Old Vineyard Tree

To start this trick of, during the first spring, you must try to fall in love with Karen. On the last day of spring pick a grape from the mountain, go to the bar, and you shoud see Karen yelling at Kai about the Vineyard and her father. After Karen storms out of the bar head over to the bar tender who has been watching in silence. Give him the grape you got from the mountain earlier that day. He will reward you with a bottle of wine called the "Doorway to Heaven," which he was supposed to give to you after your father died(or that is what he says.) The bottle will stay in your possessions.

Now when ever you have the time go to the cave sprites and the shold say something either about the "Doorway to Heaven" or about Keifu Fairys if they know how to speek english. Eventually they will say someting like," You should talk to the spring goddess about the wine." If you have some crops grown throw one in the middle of the pond and the Godess should appear. She will ask you if you want to go to the Vineyard with her. Say yes.

You and the Godess wil then appear at the Vineyard in front of the old mangled tree. The Godess then commands the tree to awake saying the it has been asleep for twenty years. The tree will explain the reason why the Vineyard has been doing so bad saying the Keifu Fairies have left and they are the beings that make the wine tast so good. The tree then says he will find the Fairies. That is when you depart to your house.

Now after going to bed sometime in the summer you will have a dream with the Godess hoovering above your head. She will say the Keifu Fairies have come and there will be many harvests at the Vineyard. If you go the the next day you will see every one who lives at the Vinyard working in the field including Karen and her mother. Thus, solving the crisis situation at the Vineyard.

Hidden Apple in Winter

In the Winter of Harvest Moon, go to the little area next to Moon Mountain when you first enter and then go directly to the little frozen pond on the right side. Take out your Hammer and smash up the huge boulder and recieve an apple which is an excellent source for protein in the game. The boulder grows back each day too!

SPOILER - DON'T READ ON UNLESS YOU WANT TO KNOW THE ENDING

First all the townspeople will give you your ratings. (My favorite is the food tester who says, "Outstanding food munnchhhhmunnchhhh.... could I have another?(Glugglug glug) Yum.) Then you will have a party where you and your wife will be in the middle and the townspeople will throw confetti on you and your wife says, "A toast to _______!" Then at the log terrace all of your friends will have lunch and then it cuts to you and your wife watching fireworks and she kisses you. Then it goes to a dream and your grandpa's spirit tells you how wonderfully you revived the farm. Then he gives you a choice of infinite money, invincible animals, infinite material, or all super cows and quality sheep.

Free Medals at Dog/Horse Races

OK, first, make sure that you get to the race before the first one starts. I usually get there at 8:00, when it opens. Also make sure that you come with plenty of cash. OK, here's how you do it. Note: This is NOT how to cheat to win the races, it's a cheat to get lots of medals.

Go to the Mayor's wife.
Bet 99 medals on each dog/horse.
Once you've bet 99 on the last dog/horse, hit B twice, exiting you out of the window.
DO NOT TALK TO HER AGAIN UNTIL THE RACE YOU ARE BETTING ON IS OVER.
As long as you don't talk to her, you've bet 99 medals on each dog/horse without using any money. You can also do this with any amount of medals.

Cliff and Ann

This is a cool trick that will also have newlyweds amoung Flower Bud Village. On the 18th of Spring, a stranger will appear and ask you for food. Give him a vegtable. His name is Cliff. If you wish for this to work, do not date Ann but visit Cliff almost everyday in the woods. He is in the Carpenters Hut on rainy days. Give him foods and be nice to him. Also, during the second year, join him at the Spirit Festival if he asks.(You must by the Orcainia at the shop.) Soon he will invite you to his wedding.(This is why he says never mind whenever you talk to him). He will marry Ann and eventually have a child.
