THE GREEN RANCH
---------------
The Green Ranch is a very important place, in fact one of the most
important area in the game. Here is where you will be purchasing
your livestock.

Upon your first time visiting the Green Ranch you will Receive a
horse for free! Also you will be purchasing your livestock here which
consist of the following:

COWS - 6,000 GOLD
SHEEP - 4,000 GOLD
CHICKENS - 1,500 GOLD

Ann also works here so if you are trying to woo her, this will be the place to
come. Her brother is very mean so try and stay away from him.

(A) - CORRAL
• When you start your game come here to get a free
horse from Ann who works here.
• The Cow Festival is held here in the fall.

(B) - BARN
• The Barn isn't all that important.
• It is kind of like the barn in Zelda 64 :Þ
• You should still visit here to see some great
graphics though :)

(C) - Store
• Well obviously this is where you buy items.
• You can buy your livestock here.
• Also, be sure to pick up some handy items
for your new livestock.
• The Store is closed on Thursdays.

THE VINEYARD
------------
The Vineyard is also a pretty important area of the game, not as important as
the Green Ranch but still pretty important.

The Vineyard is located north of the village along the trail to the mountain.
Here is where you will meet Karen if you are trying to woo her. You will also
meet a bunch of the workers here.

Later on in the game you will find out that a crisis situation takes place at
the Vineyard.

MOON MOUNTAIN
-------------
The Moon Mountain will be inaccessible when you start out your game. The
Bridge is out which leads to the top of the mountain where a restaurant is
located.

There is also a spa located here, but first you'll have to get the bridge back
into service which will be coming soon to this FAQ...

YOUR HOUSE & THE CARPENTER
--------------------------
Of course you are going to want to build your house, but you will need lots
of GOLD and lots of WOOD! You don't do the building yourself, the carpenter
does it for you, but the prices are steep, and you have to provide your own
wood, how cheap! Anyway, here are his prices and how much wood you will need
for each room:

KITCHEN..........5,000 GOLD -- 450 WOOD
BATHROOM.........3,000 GOLD -- 300 WOOD
STAIRS...........1,500 GOLD -- 150 WOOD
GREEN HOUSE.....30,000 GOLD -- 580 WOOD
DECK.............7,000 GOLD -- 350 WOOD
CHILD'S BED......1,000 GOLD -- 200 WOOD

Make sure you collect a lot of money each day and chop up those stumps and try
to get your house all built up!

SPRING SEASON:

What a season to start your harvesting...SPRING! When the sun is bright, the birds
are chirping, bees buzzing, and a great time for your crop to come in. There will
also be a few days of rain, here is your calendar of events:

In Each season you will be able to grow a certain crop, for Spring here are
the crops you will be able to grow (remember to get the seeds from Lilia's
flower shop):

CABBAGE
• Seed Cost - 200 GOLD
• Unit Price - 90 GOLD
• Growth - 7 Days

POTATOES
• Seed Cost - 200 GOLD
• Unit Price - 80 GOLD
• Growth - 6 Days

TURNIPS
• Seed Cost - 200 GOLD
• Unit Price - 60 GOLD
• Growth - 4 Days

You can also FIND other items other than your crops in each season, look around
the countryside to find these (these are just for spring):

VERYBERRY FRUIT
• Unit Price - 40 GOLD

MEDICINAL HERBS
• Unit Price - 70 GOLD

• Unit Price - 30 GOLD

ALL DAYS

Remember, once you get your seeds planted and your crop growing, water it each
day (unless it's raining) and take care of your crop well each day (except for
festivals) so that you will have a great crop when the Spring Season ends.

1ST DAY -- FIRST DAY
---------------------
The first day of Spring is when your game begins. Your grandfather is gone and
the farm is yours. The Mayor will offer you a tour of the farm, take it if you
are new to the game otherwise you can just use the map.

Today you will want to begin your harvesting. Start out by clearing the farm
land (rocks, weeds and stumps). Once you have, use your hoe to till out a 3x3
grid of land to plant some seeds.

Head over to Lilia's shop where you will find some seeds for sell, as of now
you will only be able to buy 1 pack so do so. Choose whichever you think will be
best (see the growth times and how much each is worth to choose the right pack
of seeds).

Head back to your farm and begin planting them.

8TH DAY -- PLANTING FESTIVAL
-----------------------------
This festival is hosted by the Potion Shop keeper! His grandson will bring in
the harvest balloons and on your signal they will be released by the townspeople.
You can also talk to the townspeople around here...

16TH DAY -- DEADLINE FOR ENTERING HORSE RACE
---------------------------------------------
Well as you can see, if you are going to enter the horse race (which is the
next day) today is the deadline for doing so.

17TH DAY -- SPRING HORSE RACE
------------------------------
Well you can do 2 things if you entered this race but if you didn't you'll still
be able to do 1 thing which is still very fun. OK, here is an explanation of this
horse race:

If you entered you will be able to:
• Buy Medals and bet them on other horses.
• Race your horse and win MORE medals if your horse wins.

If you DIDN'T enter the race you will be able to:
• Buy medals and bet them on other horses.
• That's it! Should've entered, huh?

Once the race is over, take all of the medals you have won and redeem them for
GOLD! These races are very fun, so I really suggest you participate in them.

18TH - 22ND DAYS -- VOTE FOR FLOWER PRINCESS
---------------------------------------------
This is the day of the voting for the flower princess! The local Botanist
(Popuri's Father) will drop by and remind you to vote if you want to.

If you do decide to vote, head over to Town Square and cast your vote for who you
think deserves to be the Flower Princess!

23RD DAY -- SPRING FLOWER FESTIVAL
-----------------------------------
It's approaching the end of the spring season and what a way to end it with the
Spring Flower Festival. Here, walk around and talk to all of the townspeople. Soon
the Flower Princess will arrive with her lady friends. Once done with everything,
go and see the mayor to get a dance partner.

Congratulations, you are done with the Spring Season, now it's on to the
Summer time!

SUMMER SEASON:
===============
It's Summer Time! In the summer your crops will take longer to grow, however,
you will be getting several harvests from just one crop! Here is your Calendar of
Events for the Summer Season:

Well, now since it is a new season, you will be able to grow new crops, which is
great! Remember the seeds are at Lilia's Flower Shop, here are the crops you can grow:

TOMATOES
• Seed Cost - 300 GOLD
• Unit Price - 100 GOLD
• Growth - 9 Days

CORN
• Seed Cost - 300 GOLD
• Unit Price - 100 GOLD
• Growth - 13 Days

As always, there are also some other items to be found in each season, before it
was some herbs and berries, well here are the items you can find during Summer:

TROPICAL FRUIT
• Unit Price - 40 GOLD

WALNUTS
• Unit Price - 70 GOLD

ALL DAYS

Remember again, you will have to take good care of your crop, remember to water
it each day if you want those vegetables to grow in nicely. There are a lot of
events to take place in, so try and finish all of your work during the day so
you can have fun at night!

1ST DAY -- FIREWORKS
--------------------
OK, today is going to have to be a very busy day. First till your land, till
a lot because you will be planting a lot. Now head on over to Lilia's Flower
Shop to pick up some seeds for your crop. Choose whichever one you but make sure
you get quite a few packs, maybe 5 or so packs to plant.

Head back to your house and plant all of the seeds, then water them once you're
done. It should now be close to night time and just in time for the Fireworks show.
Head over to where you can watch them and enjoy the show!

9TH DAY -- VEGETABLE FESTIVAL
-----------------------------
Well you can either choose to take part in this festival or to serve as a
judge, your choice. If you do want to participate in this festival, bring one
of your vegetables that you have grown if you have one. Otherwise just go to
the festival empty-handed and you will serve as a judge.

Once there, walk around and talk to all of the townspeople, after a short while
of time the Mayor will announce the winner of this festival, good luck!

17TH DAY -- FIREFLY FESTIVAL
----------------------------
This festival is rather odd, but nevertheless is very fun to go to. It takes
place during the night time down at the beach. First if you are going to go to
this festival you will need a lantern, get one from Rick's Tool Shop.

With your lantern, head down to the beach. Walk around a bit and talk to the
townspeople and the mayor. After a while you will light your lanterns and toss
them all into the water. This is an odd festival but it is a very very old
tradition + it's pretty fun!

24TH DAY -- SEA FESTIVAL
------------------------
This Festival is pretty fun as well. The contest is to see who the best swimmer
is. It takes place the same place the Firefly Festival took place which is at the
beach, however it is in the daytime.

If you do take place in this festival, and you happen to win, you will be rewarded
with the 1st place trophy! You will get directions on how to swim and once you do
you'll be set to race the other swimmers and see if YOU are the best swimmer!

FALL SEASON:
=============
Autumn time! In the Fall season, there will be more rain which will do your job
of watering on some days. The only thing not really "life-like" is that the time
doesn't change when the fall season comes around, so you will have the same
amount of time during the day to do your work as you did during the summer!

Well, a new season and a new set of crops for you to grow. You will be able
to plant and harvest 2 new crops in the Fall Season and remember to pick up
the seeds at Lilia's Flower Shop. Here are the crops that you will be able to
grow this season:

• Unit Price - 80 GOLD
• Growth - 7 Days

STRAWBERRIES
• Seed Cost - 500 GOLD
• Unit Price - 150 GOLD
• Growth - 6 Days

Yep, you guessed it, there are also other items which can be found during the
Fall Season, this time there are 3 of them, so here they are:

WILD GRAPES
• Unit Price - 40 GOLD

MUSHROOMS
• Unit Price - 70 GOLD

POISON MUSHROOM
• Unit Price - 30 GOLD

Note that you can also go fishing, here are the fish rates:

Little Fish - 30 GOLD

Medium Fish - 100 GOLD

Large Fish - 180 GOLD

ALL DAYS

Remember to take care of your new crops very well if you plan on them
growing any. It will rain a lot in the Fall season so you might not have
to water your crops on some days, but if it doesn't rain make sure you
are out there taking care of your crops. This season is more of a relaxing
season, you should concentrate more on chopping wood for the winter season
and trying to woo a girl. All you really need to do is plant a few eggplant
crops and take care of them, and that's about it. Only concentrate on your
crops more if you don't have a lot of
GOLD.

4TH DAY -- COW FESTIVAL
-----------------------
Well, if you have been raising cows you are in luck! The Cow Festival is
a contest to see who has the best cow, and by best I mean which cow produces
the the best milk. See all the work did pay off if you raised any cows.

If you have a cow, go ahead and bring it down to the festival, otherwise
you will have to judge the other top cows from the area, good luck!

12TH DAY -- HARVEST FESTIVAL
----------------------------
This is a fun festival which has been in the SNES version of this game
as well. You don't need to bring any food, instead just walk around and talk
to the townspeople. Elli will offer you a cake and it might have a coin
in it. Once that is all over you can choose a lady to dance with.

20TH DAY -- EGG FESTIVAL
------------------------
This is really fun, it is like an Easter egg hunt! The Mayor will show
you a colored egg and everyone searches the village too find it. This is
pretty tough but it's mostly for fun! The prize if you win is a Power Berry.

23RD - 27TH -- BRIDGE REPAIR
----------------------------
These are the days the carpenter will be working on the bridge. You can help
him out if you like. For each day you work on the bridge you will get
1,000 GOLD, that adds up to a total of 5,000 GOLD for each day! Plus work
ends at 3:00 PM.

27TH DAY -- DEADLINE FOR HORSE RACE ENTRY FALL
------------------------------------------------------
This is the day you will be able to enter the Fall horse race. Your horse of
course has grown by now so I suggest you enter the race, it is pretty fun.

To enter, a farmer guy will come by your farm and ask if you want to
enter the race, tell him yes if you want to. Remember to get in on the
27th Day or you'll be out of luck!

28TH DAY -- HORSE RACE
----------------------
Time for the race! If you entered you will be able to bet and race your
horse. Otherwise you can just bet on other horses. Now is when you can
also start saving the GOLD in order to buy your horse a stable. Good
Luck in the races!

WINTER SEASON:
===============
It's winter time! Of course, with all the snow it is going to be impossible
to grow any crops, right? Wrong! If you built your greenhouse, you will be
able to still plant crops, otherwise you can just mine in the underground
tunnel. Here is your calendar of events:

Well, you can plant any crops you like if you have built the Greenhouse,
but if you don't have a greenhouse or you just don't feel like planting
crops, then you will be able to mine in the underground tunnel, here are
the Stones you can get:

IRON STONE
• Unit Price - 100 GOLD

MOONLIGHT STONE
• Unit Price - 500 GOLD

BLUE STONE
• Unit Price - 700 GOLD

RARE MINERALS
• Unit Price - 1,000 GOLD

ALL DAYS

You can work in your greenhouse on your crops if you need the money,
but if you don't have your greenhouse built or you just don't feel
like growing crops you can mine in the underground tunnel.

10TH DAY -- THANKSGIVING
------------------------
Thanksgiving time! Farmers as well as the ladies will drop by and bring
you food. I suggest staying home and having this event not with family
but with friends and ladies.

8TH - 30TH DAYS -- MINE OPEN TO PUBLIC
--------------------------------------
The mine opens up to you on the 8th day of winter and is open until
the end of the month. Head here are start mining for all types of
different minerals. The most valuable mineral would be the Rare Minerals
which are worth 1,000 GOLD.

You should mine if you haven't built your greenhouse yet or if you just
don't feel like "cropping".
