| Late one night at St. Crispin Church, Nuns are caring for the sick as one sister walks towards a man to give him a glass of water. She was caring for the man when a young girl called for her. She said her mother was dying and she needed her last rites. Sister said that they should get a doctor but the girl said that she had no time. So Sister left the man and went with the girl. The girl ran down the stairs and further into the building of the church. Finally they were at a doorway where the girl's mother laid there in a bed. The Sister started to walk closer into the room. As she starts to walk in the girl suddenly disappears from the doorway and the Sister does not notice. The girl's mother is faintly breathing as Sister starts to perform the last rights. The Sister picks up her hand and notices the precept's ring on her ring finger. The Sister stops as the mother opens her eyes and grabs the Sister's hand. The mother mentions her the Sister's name being Sister Ingrid and tells her that she has a new mission. People come up from behind Sister Ingrid and grab her and they take her away. While, in the corner the girl re-appears, with a worried look on her face. Then she stands up and starts to smile. The same night at the house, Derek is identifying a clay burial Urn. When he is trying to identify it he has a flash of Ingrid, he can hear screaming and gets nervous. He smashes the Urn in his hands. He tries to relax as he hears someone whisper his name. He gets up and walks to the front door. He hears his name again, he thinks its Ingrid because it sounds exactly like her. Then he looks at the front door, and he sees a purple haze enter through the bottom crack of the door. Shaped like a hooded witch, it says she has Ingrid. With a scratchy voice it tells Derek that is wants the Black Chalice. Derek wanted to know where his sister was but the entity told him not to waste time for his sister's life is at stake and gave him 24 hours to deliverer the Chalice to it. Later that same night, in the control room with Alex and Rachel, they get a call from Sloan, he tells Derek of how he just heard of the news of his sister's disappearance and how he was deeply sorry. Sloan made a comment saying that the legacy never negotiates with the other side. Derek took that offensively saying that he would never jeopardize the legacy no matter what the case, even for his own sister. Sloan offers his help and then cuts transmission to the house. Derek then has a flash back of his sister, when they were talking about their father; how Derek carries the burden of his father and will not let him go. He remembers how proud she was of him (Episode: Revelations, First Season). Then Derek comes back and leaves the control room. He goes out to the church to look around. He opens a door and is in a hallway where he spots that girl standing at the top of the stairs against the wall. He knows who she is, he saw her in the premonition he had of his sister. She starts to run down the stairs and Derek goes after her. He ends up in the Chapel where the girl is hiding behind stand of candles. Derek says that its okay and that he is not going to hurt her. He just wanted to know about his sister. The girl says that they gave her money to do, to lure his sister into that trap. She said her family was so poor and she felt bad. When Derek tried to reach out his hand to comfort her she got scared. She said that he was one of the people who took his sister. She pointed to his ring. He asked if the man who took his sister wore this ring. She said yes, that is all Derek had to know. As soon as Derek left the girl disappeared into the candles like a gust of wind but the windows of the chapel weren't open. In the morning, Derek explains to everyone about the Chalice. How on his first assignment, he was excavate one of the Great Aztec Pyramids called "Serpent Mountain". Supposedly the life force of a person's beating heart would be cut out of there body and a Aztec Priest would then squeeze the blood into the Chalice containing there life force and whoever drank the sacrificial blood would then be immortal. Then everyone meets in the Library to discuss more when Derek's mother arrives. She meets everyone and Alex gives her a big hug. Derek and his mother start to talk about the Chalice and if Derek would give the people it, or if the legacy would. Derek sits his mother down and promises her that he will find her. His mother encourages him saying of you will, you and Sloan always figure things out. Derek then gets upset at hearing Sloan's name. He goes downstairs to see Sloan, and basically, politely tries to say "Get the hell out of here!" But it doesn't work. Sloan and him talk, Derek tells him basically all he knows. He mentioned to Sloan that the woman that took his sister was wearing a Precept's ring. Sloan said that if that is true then an entire house could have turned. Back in the control room, Derek, Alex, and Sloan go through legacy files of all female Precept's. First is the Precept of the Hong Kong house, Mya Chin. Then is the Precept of Buenos Aires, Maria Contreras who was working in the Vatican. Last is Angeline D'Arcy, Precept of the Montreal House. Derek believes its Angeline. He is convinced of it. He used to know her once and they had a falling out. But he noticed something when the entity came through the door a few nights ago. He felt something familiar about it. And knew it was her, but Sloan was not convinced. Later that night, William placed a call to the Montreal House to check on Angeline. Alex and Derek were there, but Derek was in the corner. He did not want to be seen. Derek knew it was here, when she said that she is running short of time it reminded Derek of the apparition and how it said the same thing. But then Alex came up with something. She found out that, that call was not coming from Montreal. It was coming from Somona, not to far from San Francisco. Sloan and Derek and the others went to check it out while Alex stayed behind to finish some files and make sure that if the kidnappers should call again they won't know that they are coming. Candles light the room as Ingrid is tied to a chair, blindfolded. Angeline walks out of the corner of darkness in the room. She starts to talk about Derek, how they were such great lovers. But Ingrid does not believe that. Ingrid protests how she believes in God but it makes Angeline angry. Angeline says that Ingrid should believe in her because she will decide her fate. But Ingrid will not believe this blasphemy and snaps at her. But Angeline takes her hand and slaps her across the face. The men come and take Ingrid away as Angeline then sits in the chair, looking at her Precept's ring with an evil smirk on her face. Early next morning the others went to Sam Will Winery. That is what the cell phone trace led them too. All start to take a look around. Rachel walks down a hallways and opens a door. She is looking around and then slips on something. It was blood. She follows the trace of blood with her flashlight and it leads her to something. She then yells for Derek, Derek with Sloan run back to find her. Derek sees three people lying on the ground. Rachel asks for Sloan's pen and does some examination on them. Nick walks in saying that he found no trace of Angeline. Rachel judges their condition as a lack of rigamortis. Rachel says that these people literally rotted to death. It might be some type of virus so Sloan says that all of us should leave. They start to walk out when Derek hears his name being whispered. No one hears it, then he hears it again, he thinks its Ingrid and starts to run off. The others follow. He gets to the bottom of a stair well and then hears his name again. He is finally in the place with the chair, the same chair Ingrid was sitting in. He yells Ingrid's name but no one answers. Then from the corner, a woman walks out, it's Angeline. Derek wants to know where his sister is, but she will not answer him. She insists that she wants the chalice; her face turns into an ugly hideous color. Derek says that he can't do that. She turns her head and then turns to Derek, it's the face of that girl. Derek couldn't believe it, that, that girl was Angeline. But Derek will still not give her the Chalice. So by doing that, he just condemned his sister. Then she disappears, as Derek yells "no!" She was an apparition, so that meant that the real Angeline was at the house. Back at the house Alex was sitting there working on finding some clues out about the Chalice that they did not find before. Then the power went out. She picks up a flashlight, as her cell phone rings. Its Derek, Derek tells her that Angeline is in the house. Alex hears a growl and turns around, its Angeline. Derek is standing there with everyone around him as they hear Alex scream over the phone. Nick comes through the door, making sure the area is secure. "Clear" he says. Derek and the other come in. Derek tells Nick to get the lights on. Derek, Rachel, and Sloan go up the stairs. They walk into the library and find Alex on the floor with Derek's mother tending to her. Derek and Rachel get Alex up off the ground and Nick and Rachel take her out of the room. Sloan looks around and sees that the Chalice is gone. Derek feels terrible, he feels like he failed. He just condemned sister and now the Chalice is gone. His mother says no and encourages him to move on. In the control room, all they have is the computer image of the Chalice. It was what Alex was working on before Angeline attacked her. They link the design on the side of the Chalice as a start map because they Aztec rituals were usually related to astronomical events. Plus tonight was the night of the Winter Solstice. But they would need a sacrifice, Ingrid. The Aztec rituals usually took place in temples, supposedly getting them higher to the gods. But the highest peek in San Francisco is Mt. Tamalpias. Ingrid tied down to a rock, as Angeline tells her how it will work. How Ingrid has her faith to guide her. Nick, Derek, Sloan are coming in from the side. They can see her. Nick tries to around to see if he can sneak in. While Derek and Sloan approach her. Angeline is about to take a dagger in drive it into Ingrid's heart. Derek yells no. Angeline stops to talk to him, telling him that he should do it, that she wants him. Derek said he would never do it, he tries to come to attack her but she pushes him back with a wave of energy. She takes the dagger and drives it into Ingrid's heart. You can hear Derek scream no, as Ingrid is tied there helpless. As Ingrid's blood slowly drips off the side of the rock she is lying on. Angeline takes the Chalice and the blood goes into the Chalice. The Chalice lights a blue flame, it is Ingrid's inner force. Angeline is just about to drink from the Chalice as Nick comes from the side and shoots his gun. Hitting the rock, frightening Angeline. Derek comes up from behind her, knocks the Chalice out of her hands and throws Angeline into one of the torches as her rob catches on fire and she burns to death. Derek ungags his sister. As he watches her die in her arms, she is dead. But Sloan tells Derek to take the Chalice; it has the power to heal. Derek hurries and takes the Chalice. He pulls out the dagger from Ingrid's chest. He pours her blood into her wound. And it heals; she still lies there motionless. Then she turns her head and opens her eyes as Derek smiles. His sister is alive.
