Late one evening the Luna Foundation receives a package of Tarot Cards which tells each others past and future. Each mystically telling something personal about there time in the legacy. It was a late Friday evening? Alex is opening a package that they just received as Nick walks in with a can of beer. She opens the package to reveal a deck of Tarot Cards. She goes and looks at the cards while talking to Nick when Derek makes an unexpected surprise. He was supposed to be having dinner with a women but it was to stormy out so he could not make it. Derek is wondering what they were doing with Tarot Cards as Alex asks him if he would like to join in, but Derek says he doesn't take highly of fortune telling and turns it down. Yet, when Alex places the cards on the table it flips over by itself. Derek found interest then and stayed to have his fortune told. Alex was telling the fortune and Derek was the first to be told. His first card was "The Emperor". His card signifies authority and power. His next card would tell his "sphere of influence" which was the lovers. The lovers, as Alex explained, signifies the beginning of a romance. Then Alex flipped over his next card, which would give everyone incites in Derek's relationships. It was a serpent. No one knew what it meant and it was not in the deck before. But Derek knew, it was Lamia and flash backed to the time when Lamia was there... *****Knowing his death is imminent; Legacy member Samuel Kellig (MARTIN EVANS) sends his old friend Derek a mysterious cargo. Arriving days after Samuel's death, the box contains shards of an ancient urn - - an urn which once housed a spirit that terrified the Minoan people and which Samuel accidentally freed. Samuel's fiancé Jessica (CRYSTAL CHAPPELL) arrives in San Francisco shortly before the box does. Beautiful and seductive, Jessica has a power no man can resist and despite misgivings, Derek is seduced by her. Strangely weakened by his night of passion, Derek returns to the Legacy house where Alex and Kristin have pieced together the urn. After translating the urn's inscription, Derek realizes Jessica's beautiful visage is merely a disguise for her real form. However, when she appears once again, he may be too weak to ward off her final advance.***** There was one more card to turn over. Derek's final card, The Tower. The Tower meant change in a sudden manner, abandonment of past relationships and loss of love. Alex picked up all the cards and shuffled them. Then she laid them back down on the table. The card flipped by itself, it was The Fool. It was Nick's turn. The Fool meant a tendency to be guided by self-intuition and reluctance to take advice from others. Then Alex turned over Nick's next card, The Lovers. Now they are going to go in Nick's love life. His next card was a picture of a demon? a demon named "The Hungry One". Then Nick flashed back to the time when his old girlfriend was in the hospital... *****Is a city hospital harboring evil? When Liz Barrow comes out of a coma and swears she saw the boy in the next bed run down and killed by a monstrous force, her fiancee reluctantly calls her old boyfriend Nick Boyle. Liz's experience remains utterly baffling until a runic mark, stamped onto her neck with a mysterious powder, gives The Legacy a frightening clue. The powder is a form of deadly nightshade; the runic mark, an ancient Aztec symbol. Nick and Rachel find themselves on a desperate search for someone on the hospital staff who might be feeding human souls to an ancient demon. Ultimately, Nick must cross over to the other side and battle the demon if he is to save himself and the woman he once loved.***** The next card that Nick received was The Angry Spirit. They deal with those everyday but this one was different to him. Nick flashed back to the time of Elizabeth... *****Laura Davis (KATHRYN MORRIS), an old friend of Nick's, has moved back to San Francisco from New York following her father's death. Laura and her sister Margaret (TAMSIN KELSEY) have moved into a house where, the Legacy team soon discover, a young woman committed suicide 50 years earlier. Laura is a medium, and her psychic sensitivity has allowed her to contact and channel the spirit of the dead woman, Elizabeth Caldwell. Now, however, Elizabeth is able to take control of Laura's body, and using Laura's corporal form, Elizabeth is systematically and savagely exacting vengeance for her untimely death.***** The next card that Nick would receive brought up some bad emotions. The Changeling, a two faced card. Nick knew what this one was. The Succubus, Nick flashed back... *****Rachel is asked to identify the body of one of her patients found naked in his car in a small California town. Local authorities tell the Legacy team that he is the second male victim in three weeks to be found in this condition. While the Legacy investigates these bizarre deaths, yet another man is found naked and dead in his bed, his eyes turned to lifeless black holes. Alex's research turns up a link between these deaths, and a series of murders in 1893 in the same town, in which the victims were said to have had 'devil black eyes'. While Derek and Nick investigate the scene of the first murder, they discover a recently opened mine shaft. What they find inside leads them to believe that, after having been entombed in the mine for nearly a hundred years, a succubus (DIANE DILASCIO), an immortal female demon that preys on men, is once again on the loose.***** But that wasn't the end of it, she came back, and he had to kill her, twice... *****When Nick gets a call out of the blue from his former Navy S.E.A.L. buddy Mike MacCreedy (Ian Tracey), he is apprehensive about resuming the friendship. Rachel persuades Nick to give Mike another chance and he arranges to meet up with his old friend and the woman who has inspired him to turn his life around. However, on a weekend visit with the couple, Nick is unsettled by the feeling that not only has he met Anna (Diane DiLascio) before but that she seems to have a passionate interest in him. He cuts short his trip but Anna pursues him, while also insinuating herself with Rachel by posing as a patient. Eventually, Anna's pursuit of Nick becomes obsessive, but he rejects her to protect Mike's feelings. Meanwhile, Rachel is approached by Detective John Royce (Garwin Sanford) for help in solving a series of violent deaths - - the murderer appears to suck the life energy from the victims. When Royce is attacked by something that has taken on Rachel's form, Nick and the real Rachel start to put the facts together. Anna is, in fact, a succubus they had previously encountered and Nick had been in love with before he discovered her true nature. Can Rachel and Nick save Mike before the deadly succubus takes his life?***** Nick was starting not to like this game. But he had one more card, his final card. The Wheel of Fortune. It meant unexpected events that could happen for the better or worse. Alex shuffled the cards again and placed them down on the table. The mystically flipped over again. The High Priestess. Now it was Alex's turn. The High Priestess symbolizes wisdom and intuition. She turns her next card which again is the lovers (a trend is going on here). Then she turns over the next card which is the Temptrace. But the card look more like Justine. Then Alex flashes back to her time as a vampire? *****At a reunion in New Orleans, Alex is introduced to the world of vampires when former college friend Justine (SARAH STRANGE) bites her neck and begins a transformation that can only be completed when Alex commits her first kill. Also at the reunion, the dashing Phillipe D'Arcy (ANTHONY PALERMO) professes his love for Alex and asks her to live with him in New Orleans. Back at the Legacy house, Justine visits Alex nightly urging her to kill - - and as Alex's craving for blood grows, she chooses Nick as her first victim. Phillipe arrives unexpectedly at the Legacy house and helps Nick and Derek in a plan to save Alex. But, when things take an unexpected turn, it looks as if both Nick and Alex may be lost to the dark side forever.***** Alex flips over the next card it's a bat, not just any bat, a vampire bat. Then she flashes back to Phillipe D'Arcy... *****As Rachel and Derek struggle to revive Nick, Alex and Phillipe (ANTHONY PALERMO) flee to a vampire hideaway far below San Francisco where Phillipe convinces her she must kill Nick and complete her transformation. Enigmatic vampire Marcus (CHAD TODHUNTER) is dispatched to kidnap Nick from the hospital but, when his plan is interrupted he throws himself through a window and his body is taken to the morgue. At sundown, however, Marcus rises and returns to the vampire hideaway with Derek and Nick close behind. Inside the labyrinth Nick is captured and though Derek manages to put a stake through Marcus heart, he too is taken prisoner. As Alex prepares to suck Nick's blood and complete her transformation, Derek realizes the only hope for the Legacy team is to appeal to the tiny part of Alex's soul which has not yet yielded to the dark side.***** As she returns from her flashback she flips over the next card revealing a locket. Not just any locket; La Belle's locket. She flashes back to the time with La Bell and her lover... *****When Alex is haunted by vivid dreams of a post-Civil War duel, she discovers that her dreams mirror an event witnessed by her great aunt 130 years earlier. A beautiful slave, Alex's great aunt La Belle loved the dashing Chevalier (GORDON CURRIE) but her former master Aaron Wakefield (DAVID MCNALLY) refused to release her. A duel between the two men ended with Chevalier dead and La Belle shooting herself. Refusing to release La Belle even in death, Wakefield made a pact with the dark side and after 13 decades he has come to claim her soul. As Alex's dreams become increasingly disturbing, she travels to Baton Rouge with Nick to see her Grandma Rose (ESTHER ROLLE) - - the one person who knows La Belle's story. As the anniversary of the duel draws near, Alex realizes the only way to save La Belle's spirit and her own is to face the evil that has pursued her ancestor for over a century.***** She comes back from her flash back of La Belle and turns over her final card. The Hangman. The Hangman represents life in suspension it also means a transition in ones way of life. She shuffles the cards and put them back on the table. Everyone thinks it is over but the card flips over again. This time it is The Empress. It symbolizes fertility marriage and motherhood, Rachel. Everyone hesitates because this is like going through Rachel's diary but Derek says that its all in good fun so the proceed. Alex turns over Rachel's first card. The Lovers, then her second card, a key, but it looks like one of the keys to the sepulcher. Then there is a flash back of the time when Rachel was attacked by the demon who wanted to make a demon born of flesh so that it may open the portal to hell by using the sepulcher. *****The two-hour pilot involves the discovery of a strange sepulcher in Ireland. This ancient object contains a mysterious force which is unwittingly unleashed, quickly wreaking death and havoc. Soon it devastates the people who have stumbled upon it - including Rachel Corrigan (HELEN SHAVER), her daughter Katherine (ALEXANDRA PURVIS) and Shamus Bloom (WILLIAM SADLER), the eccentric owner of an Irish antiques shop. The Legacy must mobilize, racing to contain this supernatural force whose strength may release the demons of hell!***** Then they proceeded, Rachel's next card was a picture of a women, the women who tried to steal Kat's soul and seduced Rachel by using a man named David. *****While on holiday with her daughter Kat, Rachel falls hard for internationally known architect David Cord (PAUL SATTERFIELD). Long ago, the handsome Cord struck a deal with the devil to gain his success, and is now being asked to pay the price. The Dark Side wants Rachel's gifted daughter, but protected by her mother's love, Kat is untouchable. David is instructed to divide Rachel's loyalties by making her fall in love with him, thus leaving Kat vulnerable to the evil force. Though he is falling for Rachel, David agrees and orchestrates a seduction. Things backfire, however, when Rachel discovers a sinister photograph and realizes Kat is in danger. She rushes to the Legacy house where Kat is spending the night, but an evil apparition already has Kat in her grasp. The only one who can save the girl now is David.***** Rachel's next card is her final card? The Chariot which symbolizes turmoil and an urgency to gain control over ones emotions. As Alex goes to put the cards back in order Nick goes to get a beer but is stopped because another card flips over? The Devil. But this card looked familiar to Alex? Nicholas Oldman. *****Alex, Kristin and Rachel are working to unlock the mysteries of an ancient artifact. As they study the strangely marked stone cube they each experience a vaguely exciting but elusive reaction. An expert on Far Eastern artifacts, Nicolas Oldman (JOHN PYPER FERGUSON) has been recommended by The London Legacy House as a consultant to help with the process. When they meet Oldman, however, the three women each seem to see a slightly different person, with traits they are attracted to. Oldman is a handsome, compelling man and Kristin and Alex both fall under his spell. He at first mesmerizes Rachel, but she ultimately resists when she realizes that Oldman needs something from each of them in order to access the cube and the secret it contains - - the ancient powerful spirit Boh Jing.***** Nicolas Oldman seduced each of them. Each having there own weakness, but Rachel is able to snap out of the spell and put Nicolas Oldman out of business. After Alex is done explaining to Nick and Derek what had happen to her. The cards suddenly start to blow away leaving one final statement... Death! Alex explains as Derek gets drinks for everyone: "Yeah well the death symbolizes loss and failure as well as illness and death, it also means a clearing away for new efforts and new ideas." "Well perhaps this is a sign that out luck in relationships is about to change," said Derek holding up his glass. Then suddenly the power goes out as. "Then again," Nick says with a smile.
