The school Bully Analogy of the national language, why it should be driven out.
by JoeMax

Another analogy is – there is a bully in school his name is UP
Tagalista. He keeps on bullying this person called Visayan for no
apparent reason at all. So he ask for help from the principal called
the Philippine government. The Philippine government, then advises
Visayan these words: "Oh just don't mind him, anyway he is your
friend, your brother, he is not a foreigner,he is your kababayan. So
you share the same heritage at hango kayo sa isang linguwahe,
kultura, at isang wika." And the Philippine government just further
advise him, "Oh just pacify UP Tagalista and compromise with him like
giving him some money(taxes), your baon, your self-esteem, and your
dignity and more. The point is just go with the flow, so that you
will not be branded as a troublemaker(secessionist). So Visayan
follows the advise of the principal( Philippine government). So
Visayan does everything what the Philippine government advises him.
Visayan compromised with UP tagalista, but not knowing that the money
(taxes) being given to UP tagalista was being used in his PRT gym
exercises. So UP tagalista has become so big, muscular, and so
strong. The problem with Visayan - the bullying of UP tagalista
became worst and became a daily occurence, because he is becoming
bigger with more muscles in his body. So Visayan decided to change
his approach, because of compromising with UP tagalista, his
bullying ways got even worst. So Visayan decided to fight UP
tagalista head-on, but he has one problem: UP tagalista has become
muscle bounded due to his PRT exercises funded(taxes) by bullying of
Visayan. So he asked help from his real friends: Kapampangan,
Ilocano, Pangasinese, Zambal, Tausug, and other non-tagalog friends.
Visayan confided his problem with his friends: " You know UP
tagalista has been bullying me for quite some time now, I should have
fought him a long time ago while he is not that big and muscle
bounded, I find it impossible now to fight him alone, so I need your
help my friends." So Kapampangan, Ilocano, Pangasinese, Zambal,
Tausug, and other non-tagalista friends then said, " Oh here is our
plan, we will give him enough rope by tying him, then after that get
a baseball bat so you can beat him." So Visayan was very
enthusiastic, he did what was plan , they tie him, so he can beat the
blue out of UP tagalista. After doing that UP tagalista just went
chicken outright, and Visayan got the respect he really wanted. It is
by standing firm on the ground. The non-Tagalista friends of Visayan
then said, " Why did you not tell us a long time ago that you were
being bullied by UP Tagalista?" Visayan then said, "Oh I thought I
could not count on you guys." His non tagalista friends of Visayan
then said, "We were also being bullied into submission and silenced
by UP tagalista before, we never thought no one will ever stand up to
him, thanks Visayan for bringing it to our attention, you banded us
together to fight him, we too are suffering from his bullying
tactics." So as any story goes, UP tagalista was banished from the
kingdom of the Philippines , and the non-tagalog friends of Visayan,
and Visayan himself all lived happily ever after! J Wonderful story
right.

What did the Visayans do in the 1987 constitution convention, they
compromised with the Tagalistas for the sake of national unity by
allowing the word Filipino inserted as the national language. What
did we get, they use this as a justification to impose Tagalog upon
us in our schools. Aside from that to add insult to injury, they
banned our language , our history, our culture from being taught in
our OWN schools. To further add insult to injury the word "auxiliary"
was also inserted into the constitution for regional languages.

Lesson learned: Give an inch to the Tagalista bullying tactics
through name calling, they will take a mile. No compromise in driving
out the national language for good, so that we can all live happily
ever after as the story goes above. Drive this out from our lands, so
we can all flourish and be empowered as a nation. No compromise, as
history would show us, it will embolden the Tagalistas in the ethnic
cleansing of the Philippines . They are really intent in the
Tagalization of the Philippines for good. This is the Philippine
equivalent of Russia 's russification campaign. Tagalog language is
hidden under the skirt and neutral name of Filipino in order to ever
avoid detection of its imposition. No compromise in driving out the
national language, or else if we don't do so, this will lead to the
fragmentation of the Philippines . Drive this out of our lands! Learn
your history lesson guys, so we don't repeat the same mistake, what
did they do to us in the compromise? It made them even worst beings.
They have intensified with the greatest zeal their Tagalization
campaign as time goes by in our land.

Tagalistas your time is up. It is time for real democracy to take
over. Get out now! The Philippine government is involved in ethnic
cleansing of the Filipino people. It is intent on the Tagalization of
the Filipino people which is an utter disrespect to the diverse
cultures and the linguistic heritages in our country. Tagalista
ideology is nihilistic, it is built on the premise a good Filipino
has to be tagalog, possess tagalog culture, and speak Tagalog. What
if you are not tagalog, so the obvious would happen: Marginalization
and ethnic cleansing. The Philippine government does not promote any
other culture except Tagalog, but hidden under a deceptive name
Filipino language and under the guise of patriotism. We are not anti-
Tagalog, because we have friends and family who are Tagalog. It is a
beautiful language. It is too a mother language worthy of
preservation. We are not anti-Filipino because we possess that
citizenship. But we are anti-neo colonialism through the continued
imposition of Tagalog( Filipino Kuno?) without our consent at the
expense of our empowerment. We are pro-mother language advocates. The
Tagalog language was able to flourish through the taxes of non-
tagalogs and tagalogs alike. But what do non-tagalogs get in return?
NONE but contempt for their unique culture. Fight Tagalization and
the UP Tagalistas! They will not stop their bullying ways not unless
we stand firm and unwavering in pressing for our valid human right,
which is linguistic rights. It is time for the Philippine government
to stop its hypocrisy which is one of the original signatories of the
Universal declaration of Human rights.

We will not be bullied anymore, because these UP tagalista are intent
on destroying our diversity in this country. They believe in one
thing: Unity through uniformity at the expense of our dignity. No
compromise, drive out the national language from our lands. We have
done that before through compromise, we get nothing but more
oppression and domination. No national language or whatever name they
will call it ( Filipinization, Pilipino, Filipino, unity language,
national lingua franca, and etc) shall ever be mentioned on the
constitution. We should be vigilant in any reference either direct or
indirect of any national language provision. UP tagalistas stop
hiding under the cloak of patriotism, your true intention is
Tagalization of the Philippines , you will not stop until you
accomplish your aim. Get out! There will be no slaves, if there are
no willing slaves. The UP Tagalistas have done enough damage to our
culture and language. They are oblivious to the multilingual and
multicultural set-up of the Philippines . No compromise drive out the
national language for good! This message should be resounding and
firm to these UP tagalistas. We don't believe in government
brainwashing anymore: " Ang Filipino ay hindi Tagalog kundi hango
siya sa iba't ibang wika ng Pilipinas. Ang Cebuano, Ilocano,
Hilgaynon at iba pa ay dialecto ng Filipino" Stop this crap, it is a
broken record. As the saying goes, " You may fool a person once but
you can't fool them all the time." Stop marginalizing, ethnic
cleansing, and the Tagalization of the Filipino people. This will
only backfire through rebellion and secession.

Let us not be foreigners in our own lands by making our regional
languages be official in our lands (Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilokano,
Hiligaynon, Waray-Waray, Kapampangan, Bikol, Pangasinan, Maranao,
Maguindanao, Kinaray-a, and Tausug ) Let it be the language of
supreme focus and the medium of instruction in our schools. Let
English be the neutral leveler tongue among Filipinos. Tagalog should
be disestablish and dislodged as the national language, it needs a
lot of rope from non-tagalogs to do this. Tagalog is not a neutral
tongue, it will place non-tagalogs in a linguistic dis-advantage with
native tagalong speakers. See how they mock us on TV with our accent.
Let Lapu-lapu be our inspiration. Let us drive out the national
language in our lands for good, so that it will not bother us
anymore, and remind us of our second citizenship status even in our
own linguistic backyard.

It is great to go diving in the ocean( Philippines ) wherein you can
see great diversity(various ethnolinguistic group) with great wonder
and color co-existing with one another respecting the natural
balance, the way God made it. The Philippine government linguistic
policy is live and let die. Not live and let live. Fight the
Tagalization of the Philippines , fight ethnic cleansing under the
guise of patriotism and hiding the skirt of the name "Filipino".
Drive the national language out for good in our lands, so convince
your delegates to do so! No more compromise on this, to do so is like
being content of being foreigners and second class citizens even in
our own linguistic backyard. Disestablish the national language in
the Philippines for good. It has no value upon us except native
tagalong speakers because they are privileged at the expense of our
empowerment as a nation!
