I was born in Ohio, but have lived in Georgia since 1970. After twenty years in the banking industry, I retired from the business world in 1999 in order to pursue my lifelong dream of writing full-time. It is my fondest desire to take my readers on a journey that not only entertains, but touches them on a deeper level as well. The first of my Ellen Richardson mysteries, HOME TO OHIO, is a story based on an actual murder that happened in my hometown of Milan, Ohio when I was a teenager. The victims, a father, mother and daughter, were close neighbors and their son was a classmate. While the story is fictional, the actual crime which occurred in April of 1968 has never been solved. In the newly released sequel, WHERE LOVE IS NOT, amateur sleuth Ellen is back. This time, her best friend Beverly drags the down-to-earth widow kicking and screaming into the snobbish world of wealth, power and privilege for a little well-earned R&R after her ordeal in Ohio. Ellen finds herself totally out of her element and wishes she had never come to the posh resort town in Florida. When Beverly suddenly elopes with a virtual stranger, Ellen learns that he may actually be a serial killer who muders rich women for their money. The race is on to unveil his true identity before he can strike again. The question soon becomes, who is the hunter and who is the prey.
