First, the Cleveland Browns(3-5) defeated the Tennessee Titans(6-3), the Minnesota Vikings(4-4) beat the Detroit Lions(5-3), the NY Jets(4-4) knocked off the Chargers(6-3), and the Arizona Cardinals (3-5) beat the Seattle Seahawks(5-3). Packers Back in First Place in NFC North The Green Bay Packers' win over the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-21 last Sunday, coupled with the Detroit Lions being upset by the Vikings, 34-24 put Green Bay back in sole possesssion of first place in the NFC North. NFC North: Packers (6-2) Lions (5-3) Vikings (4-4) Bears (3-5) Colts nip Patriots on MNF, 30-28 The New England Patriots(6-2) and the Indianapolis Colts(6-2) fought hard on MNF before the Colts walked away as 30-28 winners. Patriots QB Tom Brady led the Patriots down the field for a touchdown with 1:28 remaining to make it a 30-28 game, but the Patriots never gave Brady a chance to win it when they failed to recover the onside kick. The 30-28 win for the Colts puts them in a tie with the 6-2 Houston Texans for first place in the AFC South. Those two teams will meet in Indianapolis next week, for a rematch of the year's earlier meeting in Houston, which the Texans won 34-28 in OT. |
