Bicycle:
Costs ¥1000000, which is greater then the maximum amount of money you can have, so you can not buy this item. Can not be sold.
You can get this item in the Bike Shop in Cerulean City.
This item allows you to travel faster in most places and grants you access to Cycling Road.
Bike Voucher:
Free. Can not be sold.
You get this item in the Pokemon Fan Club in Vermillion City. Talk to the leader and listen to his story about Rapidash. He will give you the Bike Voucher afterwards. Take it to the bike shop in Cerulean and trade it in for a bike. This is the only way to get a bike without gameshark.
Burn Heal:
Costs ¥250.
Can be bought at early game Pokemon Marts.
This item heals burns.
Calcium:
Costs ¥9,800
This can be bought at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item increases Special slightly on a ratio. (The higher your Pokemon's Special is, the more it will be increased) There is a limit on how much Calcium you can use on a Pokemon.
Carbos:

This can be bought at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item increases Speed slightly on a ratio. (The higher your Pokemon's Special is, the more it will be increased) There is a limit on how many Carbos you can use.
Card Key:
Free. Can not be sold.
This item is found in Saffron City in Silph Company.
This item opens up the locked doors in Silph Company.
Coin:
Costs ¥1000 for 50. They can not be sold.
You can buy these items at the counter of the Game Corner, get them from other players, or find them on the floor.
This item is used to Play the slot machines in the game corner and get prizes.

Use this item to escape most caves, towers, etc.

This item will restore 10 PP to one of the moves of one of your Pokemon.
Exp. All:

Get this in the Guard Tower on Route 15 from Professor Oak's assistant. You must have caught 50 Pokemon.
This item will take experience from the fighting Pokemon and shar it with the others.
Fire Stone:
Costs ¥2100.
This item can be purchased in the Celadon City Department Store.
This item causes evolution in a few Pokemon.
Fresh Water:
Costs ¥200
This item is purchased out of the vending machines on the top floor of the Celadon City Department Store.
This item restores 50 HP, plus to enter Saffron City for the first time you must be carrying a fresh water.
Full Heal:
Costs ¥600
This can be bought at Mid-Late Game Pokemon Marts.
This item will cure any status change condition.
Full Restore:
Costs ¥3000
This item can be bought at the Pokemon Mart at Indigo Platue/
This item is the combined effect of a Max Potion and Full Heal; it restores all HP and cures any status condition.
Gold Teeth:
Free. Can not be sold.
This item can be found in the last area of the Safari Zone.
Give these to the Warden to let him speak again. He will give you TM 04 in return, Strength.
Good Rod:

Get this item from the Fishing Guru's brother in Fuschia City.
This item lets you fish for medium strength Pokemon.
Great Ball:

This item is used to catch Pokemon; it is stronger then a PokeBall but is not as effective as an ultra ball.
Guard Spec:

This item can be bought at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item can be used to disable status-changing moves.
Helix Fossil:
Free. Can not be sold.
This is one of the fossils that you can choose when you are on Mount Moon for the first time.
This item can be used to get a Omanyte at the lab on Cinnibar Island.
HP Up:
Costs ¥9800.
This item can be purchased at the Celadon City Department store.
This item will increase your Pokemon's HP level slightly in a ratio. (The higher the HP, the greater the increase)
Hyper Potion:
Costs ¥1500.
This item can be purchased at mid-late game Pokemon Marts.
This item will restore up to 200 HP for one of your Pokemon.
Ice Heal:
Costs ¥250.
This item can be purchased at early-game Pokemon Marts.
This item will thaw a frozen Pokemon.
Iron:
Costs ¥9800.
This item can be purcahse at the Celadon City department store.
This item will increase your Pokemon's Defense level slighly in a ratio. (The higher the Defense, the greater the increase)
Item Finder:
Free. Can not be sold.(I Think)
Get this item in the Guard Tower on Route 11 from Professor Oak's Assistant. You must have caught 30 Pokemon.
Leaf Stone:
Costs ¥2100.
You can buy this item for at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item induces evolution on a few grass-type Pokemon.
Lemonade:
Costs ¥350.
You can buy this from the vending machines on the top floor of the Celadon City Department Store.
This item heals your Pokemon 80 HP>
Lift Key:
Free. Can not be sold.
Get this item from the Team Rocket hideout in the Game Corner in Celadon. A trainer on the fourth floor drops it after you beat him.
Without this item, you can not get the elevator to work in the Team Rocket hideout in the Game Corner.
Master Ball:
Free. Sold for ¥0.
Get this from the Silph Company President after you beat Giovanni.
This is the best type of PokeBall in the game. It will catch any pokemon in one try. You cheaters out there (you know who you are) may want to duplicate this.
Max Elixer:
Free.
This item is found in miscellaneous places. It is always found as a hidden item.
This is one of the best items in the game. It restores all the PP to all of the moves of one of your Pokemon.
Max Ether:
Free.
This item is found in miscellaneous places. It is usually found as a hidden item.
This item will restore all the PP to one of your Pokemon's moves.
Max Potion:
Costs ¥2500.
You can buy this item at the Pokemon Mart at Indigo Plateau.
This item is self-explanatory. This move will recover the HP of one of your Pokemon to the maximum.
Max Repel:
Costs ¥700.
You can buy this at late-game Pokemon Marts.
This item will repel Pokemon weaker then yours for a certain amount of steps. (I think it is 250.)
Max Revive:
Free.
You can find this item in miscellaneous places. It is frequently found as a hidden item.
This item will revive a fainted Pokemon and restore its HP fully.
Moon Stone:
Free.
This item is found in four different places. Mount Moon, Route 2, Team Rocket Game Corner, and hidden in the Cinnibar Island Land. (Found on the first floor on hidden in a square pillar.)
Nugget:
Free. Can be sold for ¥5000.
This item is found many places, sometimes hidden, sometimes not.
The only purpose for this item is to sell for ¥5000, making it the most valuable thing you can sell in the game. (The bike costs more, but you can't sell it.)
Oak's Parcel:
Free. This item can not be sold.
Get it from the man at the Viridian City Pokemon Mart at the beginning of your quest.
The only purpose for this is item is that Professor Oak will give you a Pokedex after you give it to him.
Old Amber:
Free. This item can not be sold.
Cut the bush in Pewter City and go around in the back of the Fossil Museum. You can get the Old Amber from a scientist their.
You can use this item to get an Aerodactyl, and near extinct (Lance has one) prehistoric Pokemon.
Old Rod:
Free. Can not be sold.
Get this from the Fishing Guru in Vermillion City.
This is the first rod you get. It will let you fish for Pokemon. The only thing catch is Magikarp, though.
Paralyze Heal:
Costs ¥200.
You can buy this item at early-game Pokemon Marts.
You can use this item to remove the paralyze status condition.
PokéBall:
Costs ¥200.
You can buy this item at early-game Pokemon Marts.
This is the first item you get that you can use to catch Pokemon. It is the weakest type of ball.
PokéDex:
Free. Can not be sold.
After you bring Professor Oak Oak's Parcel, he will give you the PokeDex.
The Pokedex is the electronic encyclopedia that records Pokemon data.
PokéDoll:
Costs ¥1000.
You can buy this item in the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will allow you to run from wild Pokemon. You can also give it to someone in exchange for a TM.
Poké Flute:
Free. Can not be sold.
After you beat the Ghost Tower in Lavender Town, talk to Mr. Fuji and he will bring you back to his house. Talk to him again and he will give you the PokeFlute.
The PokeFlute is essential to your quest and is a very useful item. You must use it to wake up a sleeping Snorlax that blocks the road. You can also use this item to wake up sleeping Pokemon in battle.
Potion:
Costs ¥300.
You can buy this at early-game Pokemon Marts.
This is the most basic curative item. It will heal one of your Pokemon up to 20 HP.
PP UP:
Free.
This item is found in miscellaneous areas. It is usually found as a hidden item.
This item is great. It will increase the PP of a certain move in a ratio. The more PP a move has, the greater the increase. For example: Hyper Beam's PP will increase from 5 to 6. Ice Beam's PP will increase from 10 to 12. This item can only be used three times on a move.
Protein:
Costs ¥9800.
You can buy this item at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will increase one of your Pokemon's attack in a ratio. (The higher the attack, the higher the increase.) This item will loose effect after awhile.
Rare Candy:
Free.
This item can be found in many areas.
This item will level up a Pokemon by one level. I would not recommend using this on a Pokemon that you are going to use on your finishing team your Pokemon's stats will not increase as much as they would in a normal level.
Repel:
Costs ¥350.
This item can be bought at early-game Pokemon Marts.
This item will repel weak Pokemon for a certain amount of steps. (I think 100.)
Revive:
Costs ¥1500.
This item can be bought at mid-late game Pokemon Marts.
This item will Revive a fainted Pokemon and restore its HP by half.
Safari Ball:
Costs ¥500 for 30.
This item is bought when you enter the Safari Zone in Fuschia City.
This item is the only kind of PokéBall you can use in the Safari Zone.
Secret Key:
Free. Can not be sold.
This item is found in the burned out Pokemon Lab on Cinnibar Island.
This item lets you get into the Cinnibar Island Gym.
Silph Scope:
Free. Can not be sold.
You get this item from Giovanni after you beat him in the Game Corner.
This item lets you identify Ghosts. You must have this item to see the ghost of Cubone's mother.
Soda Pop:
Costs ¥300.
You can buy this from the vending machines on the top floor of the Celadon City Department Stores.
This item restores 60 HP to one of your hurt Pokemon.
S.S.Ticker:
Free. Can not be sold.
This item is given to you by Bill after you help him get back to his normal form.
You must have this item to get on the S.S. Anne.
Super Potion:
Costs ¥700.
You can buy this item at mid-game Pokemon Marts.
This item will restore up to 50 HP to one of your Pokemon.
Super Repel:
Costs ¥500.
You can buy this item at mid-game Pokemon Marts.
This item will repel wild weak Pokemon for a certain amount of steps.
(I think for 200 steps.)
Thunder Stone:
Costs ¥2100.
You can buy this item at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item induces evolution on a few Pokemon.
Town Map:
Free. Can not be sold.
Your rival's sister will lend you a Town Map after you get the PokeDex from Professor Oak. She can be found in the house next to yours in Pallet Town.
Ultra Ball:
Costs ¥1200.
This item can be bought at late-game Pokemon Marts.
This is the most effective PokeBall besides the Master Ball.
Water Stone:
Costs ¥2100.
This item can be bought at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will induce evolution on a few Pokemon.
X Accuracy:
Costs ¥950.
You can buy this item at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will increase the fighting Pokemon's Accuracy temporarily.
X Attack:
Costs ¥550
You can buy this item at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will increase the fighting Pokemon's Attack temporarily.
X Defend:
Costs ¥550
You can buy this item at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will increase the fighting Pokemon's Defense temporarily.
X Special:
Costs ¥550
You can buy this item at the Celadon City Department Store.
This item will increase the fighting Pokemon's Special temporarily.
