The Raditz Saga:
The Raditz saga began as the Z gang (Bulma, Master Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar) found themselves hanging out at ever elusive "Kame's House." A while after, Goku stopped for a short visit. After getting reunited with the gang, a strange looking boy with a tail and a dragonball on his head peered out behind Goku. He was classified as Goku's son and his name was Gohan (named after grandfather Gohan). He seemed friendly and was suprisingly strong for a calm boy his age (he was only 5 1/2). After that, out of the sky comes an incredible fighting power. The man was taller than Goku, and had a tail wrapped around his waste, meaning that he was a sayain like Goku. His name was Raditz, and he said that he was Goku's brother. He also told Goku that having Kame permenently take off his tail was a foolish move. In a swift act, Raditz kidnapped Gohan blindly, so they could work together in destroying planets. They both flew off to a field where Raditz landed in his sayain space pod.
Back at Kame's House, Piccolo shows up for a short visit. Both Goku and the Z gang were expecting a fight, but all that Piccolo wanted to do was get back Gohan and then after that he was going to destroy Goku once and for all. So Goku went on the flying Nimbus and Piccolo flew to the place where Raditz went with Gohan.
As the battle started, they immidiately found out that Raditz was much stronger than them both individually. Goku had the first attack after he took off his weighted clothing, while Piccolo charged up his secret weapon, the Special Beam Cannon. Goku got his butt whooped and Piccolo shot his special beam cannon. The beam just barely hit the end of Raditz' uniform. After Goku was tortured, Gohan burst out of the capsule he was in in rage. He headbutt Raditz' torso creating a crack in his uniform and knocking the wind out of both of them. Gohan's little diversion gave Piccolo time to power up another one of his Special Beam Cannons and also gave time for Goku to sneak up behind Raditz and put him in a full nelson. When the Beam hit, it sliced through Raditz' armor and through Goku's body, leaving them both.........dead.
As the saga comes to a close, Piccolo goes to an area with Gohan for special training, and Goku heads onto snake way, the path to King- Kai. King- Kai was said to be the ultimate martial arts champion. They were training for the fight of their lives when the sayains, Vegeta and Nappa, came to Earth a short while later. They were going to fufill Raditz' mission, find the dragonballs, wish for immortality and kill the one that killed their partner. Back on snake way, Goku met up with many challenges like princess Snake, a snake princess that failed to capture and destroy Goku.
