Goku-Goku is a 100% Saiyan. He has 2 sons-Gohan and Goten-and a wife-Chi Chi. He is the first to become a non-Oozaru Super Saiyan. He defeated Frieza, well beat the %$!*^% out of Frieza and left him on Namek when it exploded, Killed Frieza in Hell . He is the strongest Fighter in the universe.
Gohan-Gohan is Goku's first son.Gohan is 50% Saiyan and 50% Human. He become stronger than Goku by one point when using a one hand Kamehame to kill Cell-but Goku was dead at the time. At that point Gohan's power Level was at 400,000 I think. Gohan was 11 when he killed Cell.
Goten-Goten is Gohan's younger brother and is Goku's second son. If Goku and Goten were Chibi at the same time standing next to each other you couldn't tell the apart-they are identical. Gohan reaches Super Saiyan at a very young age.
Krillin-Krillin is Gohan's best friend. He is very short but 1 year older than Goku. Krillin has no hair until the later series. He is weak, but still very powerful. Krillin in in DBZ since the start of Dragonball.
Raditz-Raditz is the first villian in Dragonball Z. He is 100% Saiyan and is Goku's brother. Raditz was easily defeated by Piccolo, Goku, and Gohan.
Piccolo- Piccolo is Goku's former arch rival. Piccolo kills Goku when killing Raditz with a special Beam Cannon. Piccolo is a main character of DB, DBZ, and DBGT. Piccolo is weaker than Goku, but always stays close behind.
Frieza-Frieza was a very strong creature. Frieza is a changeling. Goku had to become a Super Saiyan to beat Frieza. Frieza was regenerated and then got sliced in half by Super Saiyan Trunks. Then Goku beat Frieza in Hell.
Chi Chi-Chi Chi is Goku's wife. She is extremely strong. When Mr.Shoo insulted Goku she threw him out the window and chased him off her property. Chi Chi is always worried about Gohan and always pushes him to study her two sons are Gohan and Goten.
Ikoris-Ikoris is Gohan's pet. He is a purple Dragon who loves to play. At first Ikoris was a secret just by Gohan. Then Goku helped find a hiding spot for Ikoris. Chi Chi didn't know about Ikoris until she caught Gohan playing with him.
Master Roshi-Master Roshi is perverted. He wasn't a pervert until he was about 100 yrs. old and started to read Porno magazines. He used to be very strong and intelligent. He has a turtle.
