DAY 163's 2002 - Year in Review Overall, 2002 was one of DAY 163's best years (to date). We were able to:
1) Record and release 2 CDs (LIVE CD: "The Punk Thing To Do" & FULL CD: "Emotion Vol. 1: Heartache")
2) Play more shows than any other year to date
3) Setup more DAY 163 merchandise for our fans
4) Play a wider variety of venues
5) Get radio airplay from 105.9 "THE X" - Pittsburgh, PA
6) (Most importantly) Build a great fan base (and we really appreciate all of the support)

Thanks for making 2002 a great year for us!

December 31, 2002 - Happy New Year!

December 23, 2002 - DAY 163 wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. We're still at it, playing shows and making new songs... and we're hoping to have a few new songs ready for everyone soon... probably sometime after the competitions that we'll be playing in are over...

December 10, 2002 - Important - A month from today (1/10/03), DAY 163 will be participating in a Battle of the Bands at CD Warehouse (Greensburg, PA)! It's a Friday night... so if you need to request time off to see the show... please do so... we'd love to see everyone there that night to help support us...

December 8, 2002 - I want to thank everyone who called "The X" (at 1-412-333-9939) and requested our songs... tonight, our song "Proud To Be Free" was played at about 8:15 PM. I hope everyone enjoyed.

December 1, 2002 - Just wanted to thank everyone who came out to the show last night... hope everyone had a safe trip home. We also wanted to thank the other 2 bands who played with us tonight... nice job guys...

November 30, 2002 - Day 163 show at CD Warehouse (in Greensburg) with bands Nothing Unexpected and Standard Issue!

November 24, 2002 - I just wanted to let you know that DAY 163 was played on "The Edge of The X" tonight for the first time. DAY 163's song "Day 163" was played at about 10:20 PM on (105.9 FM) WXDX "The X" - ("The Edge Of The X" show is on every Sunday from 8 PM until Midnight)... and we wanted to thank everyone who called in and requested our song, as well as Vinnie and Whipping Boy from The X for sending us their address and playing our song...

November 14, 2002 - A Day 163 "Emotion Vol. 1" CD was mailed to "105.9 The X" today, so if you'd like to hear us on the radio, please call "The X" and request our songs at 1-412-333-WXDX!

October 26, 2002 - Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us at CD Warehouse last night... we really appreciate it! Hope you had a good time. Also wanted to thank everyone who picked up our CD... hope you enjoy!

October 25, 2002 - Day 163 show at CD Warehouse (in Greensburg) with Dust - N - Bones!

October 22, 2002 - Just wanted to let you know that the Day 163 CD is being produced! The cover is underway at a printing company, and the name has been chosen... the new full length CD is called, "Emotion Vol. 1 : Heartache". We're hoping to have at least a few available for everyone who stops out to our CD Warehouse show this Friday (October 25, 2002)... we hope to see you there!

October 19, 2002 - Just wanted to let you know that Day 163 has been in the process of naming our new CDs and creating cover art. Nothing has been decided upon, but we've narrowed the possibilities, and are hoping to have the CD ready by our next show - But NO PROMISES!

October 14, 2002 - RECORDING - Day 163 spent the day in the studio and was able to finish the recording process! All that's left to do is choose a name, and cover art, and then the CD will be available!

October 7, 2002 - RECORDING - Day 163 spent the day in the studio putting more tracks down and cleaning up tracks for their first full length CD!

September 29, 2002 - We wanted to thank everyone who came to the show last night... Hope you enjoyed it! We also wanted to thank everyone who bought our Live CD ("The Punk Thing To Do") and for the bands that we played with. We had a really great time, and hope everyone else did, as well.

September 15, 2002 - Day 163 show at "Christ the King Music Festival" (in Leechburg, PA) with Five Bucks Short, DSD, Hello Fred, and Ebenezer Stone!

September 14, 2002 - Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out to Scooby's last night... we had a lot of fun. We really appreciate the support we got!

September 13, 2002 - Day 163 show at Scooby's (in Greensburg) with NC-17!

September 12, 2002 - I just wanted to let you know that Day 163 is still supposed to be part of the game Postal 2... here's what Postal 2 producer Steve had to say about it... "We're closing in on the final product. It's gonna be pretty damn fun! I haven't forgotten about putting your band name in somewhere. Might end up as graphitti on a bathroom wall or something, but it'll be in there." So be sure to check it out!

September 6, 2002 - Important - Recording went well yesterday, and a lot was accomplished, but another day or two will be needed in order to finish the CD. Day 163 has decided to release 2 CDs in the near future... a Live / One Take CD, entitled "The Punk Thing To Do", which has been in the process of being made for months now... cost of that CD will be $5.00 (7 songs - 3 of which are rare / old tracks)... and the new CD which will contain at least 11 songs, and the cost will be $10.00. Be sure to pick up one of the CDs (or both) at one of Day 163's upcoming shows!

September 5, 2002 - RECORDING - Day 163 spent the day in the studio putting tracks down for their first full length CD!

September 2, 2002 - Labor Day - Day 163 is scheduling a time to record their CD, and Thursday (Sept. 5, 2002) is looking like a very possible date!

August 29, 2002 - I wanted to let you know that a new shows page will be added to the site... which will list all of Day 163's upcoming shows starting in 2003. The current shows page is quickly filling up and load time is increasing! So instead of smashing another year onto the page Day 163 has decided to begin another shows page (and probably news page) for the New Year! We hope this will make your browsing more convenient and efficient!

August 27, 2002 - Important - Just wanted to let you know that the new Day 163 Live / One take demo CD, entitled "The Punk Thing To Do", should be ready for release by our September 15, 2002 show. All of the songs from the original demo "Untitled" have been remastered by either Eric or Todd, and new previously unreleased songs will be added. Be sure to pick it up at one of their upcoming shows! Also, Day 163 is still planning on getting a new CD recorded. Dates have been discussed but nothing has been confirmed...

August 10, 2002 - Day 163 show at CD Warehouse (in Greensburg) with Detox and Caroline Drive!

July 11, 2002 - Day 163's drummer, Matt, was injured at work! Practice will be cancelled for the next week or two - possibly longer depending on the severity of his injuries!

July 4, 2002 - Independence Day - Day 163 show at Brian's house! E-Rock did not attend due to illness, but the rest of Day 163 did attend.

May 18, 2002 - Important - Just wanted to update you about some Day 163 news... Day 163 has been writing some new material and they're looking into scheduling more shows soon, now that E-Rock's tooth is healing. Also, Day 163 has decided that a name change would not be in the best interest of the band... so Day 163 will continue on!

May 6, 2002 - Just wanted to let you know that Day 163's lead singer (E-Rock) is scheduled for wisdom tooth extraction today. Hopefully everything will run smoothly and he'll have a quick recovery so you'll be able to see Day 163 in action again soon!

May 4, 2002 - Day 163 show at CD Warehouse (In Greensburg) was cancelled by CD Warehouse!

April 28, 2002 - Important - Day 163 will be granted a free advertisement in the game called "Postal 2" produced by "Running With Scissors". The band's name and web address are going to be displayed in the game according to Steve "Postmeister". The game uses high definition graphics, and the latest technology using Epic's "Next Generation Unreal" engine. You'll be able to play as a wild, gunslinging maniac, or as an everyday citizen. Check out their site for futher game info. The game is supposed to be released on Pc and possibly Playstation 2 (along with other consoles) at the end of Summer 2002... we'll keep you Postal... I mean Posted....

April 14, 2002 - Day 163 had a great time yesterday at the show! We really enjoyed meeting the other bands involved, and re-meeting the bands we've played with in the past! Thanks goes out to everyone that stopped out, we really appreciate it!

April 13, 2002 - Day 163 show at CD Warehouse (In Greensburg) with Drastic was cancelled by CD Warehouse!

April 10, 2002 - Day 163 is planning on uploading their music to mp3.com in the near future. So if you want to download or listen to Day 163, you'll finally get the chance! Also, Cd Warehouse cancelled the Day 163 show on May 4, 2002...

April 5, 2002 - Important - Today, Day 163 gained access to their own CD Burner and special (PC) music software. Members have already discussed re-releasing their demo (along with some previously unreleased material) to be sold at their shows. A price has not been decided upon yet, and the number of tracks are unknown at this time, but we'll keep you posted (or they will at one of their upcoming shows)!

March 21, 2002 - Important - Just wanted to let you know that Day 163 is now available at the Day 163 Store (from cafepress.com). Check out the "Day 163 Merchandise" page for the links to the store... so far 2 "floors" are running... level b and d.

March 19, 2002 - Important - Day 163 downloads are back up and running! So far, you're able to download Day 163's song "Christina" (mp3) and a short video of Day 163's song "Day 163". More will be coming soon! Check them out, and hope you enjoy!

March 15, 2002 - Day 163 set up a show with Club Odyssey in Uniontown! All we know so far is that Day 163 be playing with Despite Best Intentions (DBI) / DSD and others TBA, and the show starts around 7:00 Pm! Check the shows page for more info and try to come out and have some fun!

March 11, 2002 - CD Warehouse cancelled the April 13th show!

March 6, 2002 - Just wanted to let everyone know that a new pages was added to the site today... entitled "Venues". It's a list of some local venues here in Sw Pa and their web addresses, so if you want, check them out!

February 24, 2002 - Important - Day 163 has decided to release the following information after discussions concerning the matter at hand have been confirmed. Day 163 will be granted a free advertisement in the game called "Postal 2" produced by "Running With Scissors". February 19, 2002 - The members of Day 163 have bought more film for the newest, up-to-date pictures of Day 163 available. They have not finished any of the rolls, yet, though... so no new pictures are available (but they will be soon)! They have another practice session tomorrow evening, and more pictures will probably be taken then.

February 12, 2002 - Day 163 held a band meeting last night, rather than a practice session, in order to do a final revision on the band's song playlists (Originals and Covers). They were also able to comprise a list of original songs that will appear on their new CD. If all goes as planned, Day 163 will be releasing 12 of their songs. So be sure to pick up their CD once it is released!

February 8, 2002 - Just wanted to let you know that Day 163 has begun taking new pictures for the site. As soon as the pix get developed, they will be added to the Day 163 photo sites. Also, a new page was added to the site called "Questions". You might be interested in checking it out, especially if you're not that familiar with the band.

February 2, 2002 - Day 163 has a practice scheduled for this upcoming Monday. Not too much new news has occurred. Hope everyone had a Happy Groundhog's Day on this rare occurence of (02/02/02)!

January 28, 2002 - It's been a few days, not much happening, but here's the latest situations... Day 163 is still debating over which new name will replace their current one, and whether or not a name change would be in the band's best interest. Members of the band have been able to reset their work schedules to allow time for a weekly practice - which will now be held on Mondays. Another picture page was found last week and a link has been added on the picture page for that. The reorganization of the Day 163 original and cover songs went well... but the band is still planning on reducing the number of songs by a few more... to help focus the band, and allow them to introduce new material!

January 16, 2002 - Day 163 has been in the process of reorganizing their song lists. After a meeting last night, Day 163 has decided to discontinue playing some of their songs (that they feel are less enjoyable), and are bringing back some of their older material, as well as making room for some brand new songs written within the past few months. After a few practices, they will be playing a new array of material! So be sure to check 'em out!

January 13, 2002 - Last night's show went well considering the situation... Day 163 has had some health problems (colds, sinus infections, etc.) for the past few weeks. We really appreciate the support we got last night, and really enjoyed playing with What About Cliff and My Cousin Walter. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves at our first show of the New Year!

January 10, 2002 - Important - Nothing definate, as of now, but Day 163 has been talking about a name change. The reason this has become an issue is the fact that this is an all new Day 163... half of the members have changed since the band begun. Since there are new members, and this is a new year... Day 163 thought this could be a rebirth for the band. Some names have been kicked around, but nothing's decided yet. Keep checking back for future updates regarding this issue!

January 8, 2002 - Day 163 is scheduled to practice tomorrow evening, to prepare for the show. We're still not up to par as far as our health is concerned, but we'll be able to manage.

January 7, 2002 - Due to heavy amounts of snowfall PA received yesterday, Day 163 was forced to cancel their scheduled practice... we're hoping to be able to reschedule before January 12. Todd's been sick for the past week, and everyone else isn't feeling that terrific themselves... this time of year sucks. Hopefully all will be well before the show!

January 6, 2002 - Day 163 is scheduled to practice later on today, to prepare for the show on January 12... it'll be our first practice together (as an entire band) since our last show at CD Warehouse... so hopefully all goes well!
