First Generation: A black and white tag without any names. The years 1993 or 1995 are printed on them. Were used January 1994 through Spring of 1995.
Second Generation Tush Tag: This is a red and white cloth tag without any Beanie names, and contains the red "ty" heart. The years 1993, 1995, and 1996 are printed on them. They were used from Spring 1995 til June/July 1996.
Third generation: The beanie collection is printed on this red and white cloth tag and so is the beanie's name. The ty heart has become smaller. The years 1993, 1995, 1996 are placed on them. They were used from june/july 1996 til June/July 1997.
Fourth Generation: Looks a lot like the Third generation. A small red star was added to the left of the ty heart. The years 1993, 1995, and 1996 were printed on them, and they were used from June/July 1997 til October 1, 1997.
Fifth generation:Looks a lot like the fourth generation. Adds a trademark symbol after the beanies name and an r in a circle after the "beanie babies". The years 1993, 1995, and 1996 are printed on them. They were used from October 1, 1997 to January 1, 1998.
Sixth Generation: Exactly like #5 except the heading is listed as The Beanie Babies Collection (the little r and the circle is here). The years 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998 are printed on them. They were used from January 1, 1998 to the present.
