| First Generation: A single tag that doesn't open The words are in a skinny font. Introduced: early 1994 Second genaration: This tag looks exactly like the first generation tag, except it opens like a book and the inside reads : "To:_________ and From:________ with love" Introduced: Spring 1994 Third generation: The outside ty is written in a larger font. The inside is the same. Introduced: Spring 1995 Fourth Generation: The tag looks nothing like the Third Generation one. The outside has a little yellow star next to the ty sign. Words inside the star read "original beanie baby". The inside has a poem about the beanie and it's birthday. Introduced: Spring 1996 Fifth Generation: The words in the star have changed, and they now read, "Beanie Original Baby".
