From a Visitor in California
I lived in a big home with my parents and 2 other siblings. My parents were in to buying antiques. They purchased a burgundy chair from an antique shop and put it in our family room. Within a couple nights, our small dog would always look at the chair and growl and bark at it, she would look up at the ceiling as if someone were up there, then stare back at the chair. It was always the chair. After a month of this going on, my parents caught on, and removed the chair from the house and moved it to the garage. One night I was doing laundry in there, I closed the door, and a white cloudy figure came from under the garage door and headed towards the front door to my house where I was standing! I was so scared I shut the door so fast and told my parents about it. They since sold the chair and no longer shop for antiques, everything they buy now as far as furniture is brand new. After that experience, I truly believe that some antiques are haunted. Be careful what you bring home.

It all started when my mother took my little brother to bed the time was 10.53pm she gave me a kiss on the forehead and told me that when I go to bed make sure I turn every think off I had 2 items on the TV and the fire, the time ticked away and before I knew it, it was 1.18am on a Tuesday morning I made sure I turned off the TV and fire before I come a bed to prevent noise and an accident I laid myself in my bed and begun to drift in to a sleep the time was 3.12am when my mother came in she had a angry expression on her face and begun shouting at me that I left the TV and fire place up full blast I told her I turned it off knowing that I turned everything off by the plug socket she found her way back to the bedroom and it wasn't long till I could hear her snoring I closed my eyes but found it hard to go back to sleep I felt some one watching me and opened my eyes to find a dark black shadow walk past my doorway and in to my kitchen I heard the tap running then the saucepans !

Okay, well I have several stories to tell you, but they are not about me, they are about my dad and his family members. So sit back and relax, and read these spine tingling stories.
When my dad was younger and he lived in Mexico he liked to hang out with his friends. I know, your probably thinking that they would go somewhere like a park or restaurant, but that's not where they liked to hang out. They liked to hang out at the cemetery in the middle of the night, right about midnight. Well one day they were walking into the cemetery and talking like normal and they went to lay down one the graves. They were all quiet when my dad heard a little boys voice say, "who's there?" (But in Spanish). My dad just ignored it because he thought that he was just hearing things but then he heard it again. He asked his friends if they had heard the voice and they all said that they had so they got freaked out and ran all the way home.
This next story is about my uncle. (This is going to be a short story) My uncle used to live in some apartments by a cemetery somewhere in Mexico. One day he decided to go to a dance that was not to far away from the apartments, so he walked. On his way back he saw a newspaper in the middle of the street so he decided to kick it and when he did a head began to roll out from underneath the newspaper. He got really scared and ran all the way home.
On another day my uncle went to the dance again but this time he took his car. On his way back it was pitch dark. From a distance he saw a person walking on the road so he decided to go up to him to see if he needed a ride. When he got closer he saw that he didn't have a head so he speeded right passed him without looking back.
Now I'm going to tell you about my aunt's house. My aunt says that her house is haunted because she had heard dishes crash down to the floor. She also said that every time her friend comes over she would ask her about a cute little boy that she saw in her house. She said that the only boy she had was her son Jorge but he was at school. One day she said that she saw a boy walk across the hallway and into his son's bedroom. They both went to check and didn't find anything. Another day when his son Jorge was home she was washing the dishes when she heard something behind her. When she turned around she saw a little boy with blond hair. On that same day Jorge was playing under the table with his toy cars and he was talking to someone. His mom believes that it was the little boy. On another night my uncle was sleeping in his bed when all of a sudden the little boy (or whoever it was) pulled the blankets off. My uncle is used to that now though, and every time the blankets are pulled off my uncle just says stop it and the little boys stops.....for a while.

I am not a paranormal expert by any means but I have dealt with the paranormal many times in my life. My mother, her mother (my nana) and my great nana as well as myself have it in our blood. It is something that runs very strong on my mother's side of the family.
It all started for me when I was about 6 years old. We lived in house out in the country. Although no one had died there (as far as I know) it had a bad feeling. We later found out that a teenage girl was continually raped by her father (who was a police officer) in that house. That house was tainted, we had cleansings on the house but nothing worked.
After that the feelings came more often, as well as the visions. My great grandmother has a house in the country. It was built by her 1st husband who died one night in his sleep in the upstairs bedroom. Her second husband died the same exact way and place. I had the privilege of going over there one day and feeling someone watching me. I look up the stairs and there he was, my great grandfather looking down at me. Then he disappeared, and I never went upstairs again, and neither has my great grandmother. The maid is even a little skittish of going up there.
I have had so many things happen to me as well as friends and family. I had to do cleansings on one of my friend's apartments and I have known people who have become possessed with a spirit after playing with a Quija board.
But, the worst experience I have ever had was shortly after I started dating my now ex-boyfriend. I was staying over at his house for a week. We had just got a dog and she was just a few weeks old and in a big box and she could not get out.
Now, as a back-story. I knew that someone was there, and one night I got a look at him. I was the only one in the house because I had forgot to get something so I ran back in and I felt someone staring at me. At the end of the hall I saw a tall white figure and he really didn't seem to like me. So I ran out of the house and I never saw him again.
So, that week that I was staying at his house...it was Sunday and things had just really not felt right all day. For instance, I am not the kind of person that takes naps and something kept telling me to take a nap. Before I knew it I woke up at 8 at night and my boyfriend was acting really weird. He was talking about how he sometimes goes into a depression phase and just wasn't acting like himself. Now, although I noted that was weird I really didn't think anything of it. So, I went to bed because I had to be up early for work the next day. My boyfriend said he would be coming to bed shortly and at this time it was about 11 PM. Well I woke up at 10 til 5 in the morning. TV and lights were still on and he had never come to bed, but then I heard him coming down the hall so I lay back down. When he got into bed he told me (in a almost sleep walk kind of voice) "there was some guy outside the window and me and the dog don't like him, and oh yea...I just took a sleeping pill". Ok, so at this point I am wide awake and he is knocked out. He is almost incoherent, and then he sits up in the bed and starts repeating the phrase "when all the lights go out". Then his voice warbled into the most demonic sounding voice I have ever heard in my life. I swear to God I have never moved out of a bed and down a hall so fast in my life. I was literally scared for my life. So, I was stuck between risking running into the psycho outside or having to deal with the demon inside. So, I finally braved it and got to my car. But my boyfriend kept calling me from the house trying to get me back inside. I knew it was a trap because I was testing him and then he started laughing like the demon again. I had to call a friend to escort me into the house to get my stuff. Then when I wasn't alone I tried cleansing the spirit out of him. He was knocked out cold and every time I put my cross to his hand (it would get about 2 in away from the palm of his hand) and he would push it away. Whatever had a hold of him did
I have had to deal with the paranormal my whole life and I have been through a lot, but nothing prepared me for that night. I swear I know it is hard to believe and if I could pass it off as a nightmare I would. I know my guardian angels were looking out for me that night.

From a Visitor in New York
When I was younger my family and I seemed to always be moving to new locations, because of my father's job we were practically in a new place every year. But one house that we lived in stays in my memory even many years later.
The house that I believed to be haunted was in Arizona and we had moved there when I was 17 in 1987. The house itself was a very large 2-story building that was at least 50 years old. It was in a very deserted area and the closest town was about 10 miles away and of course I hated it. We didn't have a lot of background on the house when we first moved in the only thing we did know was that a very old man used to live in it and died of a stroke in the kitchen at the age of 85.
After a couple of months I made a very strange discovery in my bedroom. The room that I chose had a very large hutch in it when we first moved in and I didn't move it since then. But one day I had noticed that by the hutch it was very cold and it was strange because we had no ac and it was a very hot day w/ no breeze. So I moved the hutch and behind it I found a very small door with a lock and the handle on it was very cold. I bent down and opened it and when I did a rush of cold air came rushing out. I looked inside the passage way and there were just stairs leading up. It was very small and narrow and I climbed up them. When I reached the top I realized I must have been in the attic because my father had said sometime before he never knew how to get up into the attic. There was all sorts of children's toys and there was a little child's table with a little tea set that looked liked it hadn't been touched in years there was also a little bed that must have been a small child's. Then I saw the worst thing ever, a noose hanging from the ceiling. The sight of it gave me chills and so I hurried out of there and told my father but when he went up to check the noose was gone and all the toys had been put into boxes, the only thing left out was the bed. That gave me the feeling there was someone else up there. After that we bolted up the little door and moved the hutch back in front of it.
The only other occurrence that scared the crap out of me was one night around 12:00am I was sleeping when all the sudden I felt extreme cold and I could see light from behind the hutch and I heard very soft music playing and almost the sound of a small child's voice coming from behind that door. It was almost like it was pleading me to let it out. I started screaming and it all went all in the blink of an eye. I vowed never again to enter that room.
A few years later after we moved out of the house I did some research on it, I had found out that in 1949 a family consisting of a father, mother and a small daughter had lived in the house. The mother went insane and hung herself in the attic. The father was in much grief of the lose of the mother and blamed the little girl for her mother's death saying that it was her fault her mother went insane. He moved all of the little girl's things into the attic and kept her up there where the little girl eventually starved to death. She was only about 6 years old. The father eventually disappeared without a trace.

From a Visitor in Canada
On june4/2002 my Aunt passed away due to cancer. My aunt was considered a "Saint" at our local catholic church in New Brunswick, Canada. After she passed, we had the funeral and at the service we thought it would be neat to have live butterflies in a little box that marked her name and the date of her birth. As the preacher and other members sang "amazing grace" we all let the butterflies go freely into the air, a few people I noticed were looking into the sky with disbelief on there faces, I assumed they were just looking at the butterflies, but I realized that in the sky around the sun was a perfect golden, round halo. I apologize if I spelled this incorrectly. We looked over and the preacher dropped to his knees and said your Aunt "got her wings". For that moment there was nothing but silence and weeping from all her loved ones. As we left the burial site and continued into our hometown where a service with food and refreshments were served the golden "halo" stayed in the sky for hours.
A few nights later I was awakened by a thunder and lightening storm. I was actually dreaming of my Aunt at the time of my awakening. I heard her voice saying tell Uncle Matt and that's all I picked up on. I saw this little round light in the corner of my room above my door. It was about the size of a pop bottle cap and grew to the size of my fist. It just seemed to hover there for about one minute. I was so scared to even move. Finally it disappeared.
I assume it was my Aunt Maureen's spirit trying to get in contact with me so I could relay some sort of message to my uncle. Every now and again when someone in my family passes I see little bright lights flying around in my apartment.

From a Visitor in Penn
One night, I was heading up the stairs when I saw a white mist in the shape of a man. My friend had just told me a few days before that she could see ghosts and I became very frightened. Then next morning I called her and told her about what I saw. The next day she came over to spend the night. I showed her where he was and sure enough he was there again and she saw him. So that night we were in my room when she looked into my closet. She then turned to me and said "Liana, look in your closet." So I turned and there stood the same ghost but he was with a woman. She tried to talk to him and he said something back. He said "I want Reece. Reece was my little brother. We screamed and then we headed out into the living room. When we passed the stairs we just stood there and looked and the spot where the ghost was before. Sure enough he was there. That same night we stayed up till 2:00 in the morning. The reason being is because we kept on hearing these pounding noises from the room above mine, which was my brother's room. It sounded like someone was running in circles. So we ran as fast as we could up the stairs and into my parent's room. I woke up my mom and we explained to her about what happened. She said that it was non-sense and then we headed back downstairs and into my room. We finally fell asleep after the noises had stopped. That night was the scariest night of my young life. Ever since then every night when I walk past my stairs, he's there but it doesn't bother me any more. Now I know that he means us no harm. Now I barely even see him anymore except for at night on the seventh stair to the top, seventh stair to the bottom!
