Packed full of poetry

Touch of the Ocean
The ocean waves move gracefully and gently
The deep sea green water flows
The sky bright orange as the sun is setting
The clouds light pink and the sun's rays glow

Silky soft sand beneath my feet
Warm soil in between my toes
Blazing out under the roaring heat
Pacing to and froe

Waiting for the night to come
But yet it still is day
While I gaze my mind will roam
Watching seagulls from the bay

When the ghost-like darkness arrives
I glance wondrously at the milky way
Each star full of sparks
At the beach I'll always stay

I lay under the clouded blanket of blackness
Singing myself a lullaby
Instead of sheep I'm counting planets
I drift off to sleep below the sky

Dreaming of the fun
That I will have tomorrow
If I ever leave
I'll be filled with sorrow

Have you ever seen
A beach with this much beauty
The sun bathes the shore with warmth
As the waves do their duty

Solemn soft cries
That the gulls sing are quiet
The babies chirp cheerfully
And can't even fly yet

If anyone orders me to leave
I'll answer them by saying I have nowhere left to go
I love living on this wonderful beach
I can't just leave, this is my home

Sun's Glory
The Aurum of light rising from the east
The night has ceased
The burning ball of fire
Warms our souls like the sound of a fief

Leader of all stars gives off rays and beams
Of flaming shards of shiny streams
That awaken us from our dreams

The sphere shaped orb of light
Shows off a wondrous sight
The clouds light pink, and the sky aglow
As the sun rises it soon shows
The colors fade as they are reflected
As we say goodbye to the crescent moon as it has descended

Standing in rows and columns together we gaze
At the hot star that sparkles with glaze
As it begins to blaze
Our life is solar powered so it seems
Our universe organized in a ream
Everything we do or say
Can be controlled by the way
The sun is positioned every day

When our time has come the sun soon sets
Gracefully gliding, falling in the west
A various of colors are seen before night arrives
But only a few minutes of this profound beauty survives
Because then the pigments disappear
Leaving a black blanket of fear

We cherish these moments as we rest
Then in the morning we welcome our guest
Filled with wonder and joyful secrets
There is only one
Hasn't ever had one reject
We all worship the glistening sun

Where do we go?

Fragile Storm
Where do we go after we're dead?
This thought is swimming in my head
My mother says it's better unsaid
But my curiosity is itching in my head

What happens to us after we die?
Can we feel the tears that we can't cry?
Or hear the wind whisper in the sky?
Do we have the ability to fly?

Does our soul stay down here on earth?
Do we lie in the ground for all we're worth?
Or do we start again at birth?
These questions are left unsaid

Do we remember or do we forget?
If our wings don't work do we get a new set?
How will we know if we ever met?
The anwers are left unsaid

The answers must be what we believe
This thought helps me to be relieved
But why are the answers still perceived
Why is it still unsaid?

-Micah Davenport-

Fragile tears roll down my face
Like an everlasting storm
My cries are the thunderclaps
Lightning is soon to form

My darkened eyes like dull gray clouds
As bolts of fury hit my heart
They say cupid can make ones love
But how can he see when it's dark?

Your soul is my umbrella
But my umbrella blew away
No use in trying to catch it
Because the wind took it astray

The more I think I'm closer
The more I feel you're gone
Please stay by my side
Before anything goes wrong

Every insult you shout at me
It hurts like I've been hit by hail
There is nowhere I can hide
Life's a living hell

Lights flicker on and off
Soon things go black
Black just like the stormy sky
There's no way I can turn back

I just told you I loved you
But you think it's a crime
You told me you loved someone else
So I cried my eyes until they dried

I cried you a river
But I won't build no bridge
You could drown in my tears
Or sink in my ship

I might act like I don't care
But you better think twice
Because I care enough to die for you
I thought you were nice

Even though you may not like me
I like you even more
I'm sorry for the things I did
My sorrow washes you to shore
