Diet
A complete diet or seed-based mix comprised of sunflower, safflower, pine nuts, plus smaller ceral seeds. Peanuts are a favorite but must not be fed to excess. Also provide fruit, greenstuff, and vegetables ranging from corn on the cob to carrot daily.
Health Problems
Feather-plucking in birds housed indoors is not uncommon.
Lifespan: Greys will live for 70 years or more. It's very important that they get the nutrition and attention they need. Most greys suffer from lack of calcium and protien. We feed our greys 6-10 peanuts a day and provide them with cheese, ice cream (vanilla), and a few other dairy products; (as a treat) daily.
