| Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone! Did you know that the first cast member to be confirmed in the Harry Potter movie was an owl! Ook belongs to a man named Roger Pearson and he told Britain’s Sunday Mail newspaper, ”He is perfect for the part. He has worked in schools since he was six weeks old so he is aware of children of all ages.”Cats will be filling two important roles. The first scene is Prof. McGonagall as an animagus cat, and then there is Mrs Norris. Twelve cats were used for the parts, and they all had experience on TV commercials! There will be no rats on the set! And that’s not just because of those 12 cats either! Ron’s rat Scabbers will be played by a robot specially built for the part! Sources say he looks very old and incredibly real. Crookshanks' Dark Past! In a recent interview, JK Rowling revealed that Crookshanks is actually part Kneazle! If you aren't sure what we mean, grab a copy of one of JK's newest books, Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them. The book states that Kneazle was: "...originally bred in Britain, though it is now exported worldwide. A small cat-like creature with flecked, speckled or spotted fur, outsize ears and a tail like a lion's, the Kneazle is intelligent, independent and occasionally aggressive, though if it takes a liking to a witch or wizard, it makes an excellent pet. The Kneazle has an uncanny ability to detect suspicious characters and can be relied upon to guide its owner safely home if they are lost.
