| Yes friend, I know your name It must be somewhere in My book Wait, let Me ask My Father To take a second look I'm sorry to inform you No, this is not a game I have double checked the pages There is no one by that name Sorry, there is no mistake I can not let you in Remember, I gave you a choice And you chose the path of sin Why now do you stand here weeping And begging for your life I asked you to surrender Though you failed to ever reply I gave you My Holy Spirit To comfort your every need I sent my holy angels To guard you in times of defeat I blessed your every breath I sent ministers your way I poured out grace unmeasured Hoping you would come home someday I gave you My Holy Word A foundation to your feet With promises everlasting To forever live with Me I gave you a free pass to heaven I was tortured, broken in two My blood was shed on a cross All because that I loved you I gave you every chance Should I have knocked down your door? For you are without excuse I can not be your Lord As you stand before Me now There is nothing I can do All the begging and the tears Won't change a thing for you I wish it didn't end this way But I hear My Father's call He said "Away from Me, you iniquity For I never knew you at all" |
