The beginning of Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire is an interesting and intricate story in itself. You start off as either a male or female trainer (if you pick the male trainer, you'll periodically battle Professor Birch's daughter, May. If you choose the female trainer, you'll periodically fight his son, Brendan), and as the game starts you're headed to Littleroot Town, which your family is now calling home. After a bumpy ride in the back of a truck, you'll find a group of moving Machop helping your family settle in.
Now, on to the dear Professor. You must have noticed by now that the Professor's in the Pokémon games definitely have more bark than bite. Professor Oak, Professor Elm, and now Professor Birch are all named after trees. In almost the very first few screens of the game, you'll find yourself bailing out this Birch from an aggressive Poochyena, and as a token of thanks, he lets you pick one of the starters from his bag.
By now, you've probably seen the starters on every website, product, and advertisement for the game. They are a trio of tough Pokémon representing the Fire, Grass, and Water types. Treecko easily pins down Water-types with Grass-type moves like Absorb, while Torchic singes Grass-types with Fire based moves like Blaze Kick. Mudkip, on the other
er, fin
.destroys Fire-types with moves like Water Gun or Whirlpool. Picking the right starter is a matter of personal taste, but rest assured you will find tougher opponents and weaker opponents throughout the game. The trick is memorizing which types do well against each other.
The trainers in these two games are just as tricky and difficult as they were in past games. You'll see a lot more variety in the trainers, with more detail in the graphics. From fancy and frilly to frumpy and grumpy, the trainers add spice to the game play.
But the two-on-two battles are where the game really heats things up. You'll occasionally find a pair of people or a cameraman and interviewer who want to do battle (we can't tell you why the cameraman is after you, but keep smiling!) and then you'll use the first and second Pokémon in your lineup to battle two-on-two! It looks good, it feels good, and it's very exciting!

You can also duble team on pokmemon ruby and sopphire!!
This new game has all sorts of new pokemon like 150 more but i think it doesnt have the old kind in them right now i wish they came out already I also think that it would have much better graphics because it is on the GBA!
