I started my business, "Keeping the Spirit Alive Ltd.", because I love to work with children one-on-one, and believe this is how children learn best.

Before I started my business, I was a teacher (B.Ed) for twenty years.

The philosophy behind Keeping the Spirit Alive , is that we believe that children deserve quality tutoring from trained professionals. Quality tutoring will help each child's spirit soar to new heights of learning.

We currently employ 8 certified teachers as tutors.

Although advertising our services has been a challenge, we have had positive feedback from our clients. Two of my favorite comments are:

"We are most pleased with the flexibility of your program which allows our child the appropriate control, independence and responsibility for choosing what subject area and homework will be the focus of each session."

and:

Looking ahead in five years time, I hope to expand Keeping the Spirit Alive to other cities in the province, and, ultimately throughout the country.
