Hello, This is a story which is fiction, and a good story. The title is hard to understand what it has to do with the story, but I hope you'll understand...
"Hi, Marissa," I said. "Hi," she answered, "can you come over?" "Uhhh," I said, looking at the time (6:30AM!!). "It's pretty early and I'd like to get some sleep since I have a basketball practice today. What about later, like 5:00PM?" "No," Marissa answered. "That won't work. Why can't you just come over now?" I sighed impatiently. It was a Saturday EARLY morning, and Marissa was calling me to come over cause she was bored. How rude. This happens all the time, and I usually give in. "Well, fine," I said. "I'll be over in a minute, alright?" "Sure," Marissa replied happily and hyperily. "Bye, Briana." I hung up the phone. Marissa was one of my bestfriends, but she was VERY annoying. One of my other best friends, Ginger, is also very annoying. She's SUPPOSED to be my bestest friend, but she doesn't act like it. My last best friend is Tiffanie. She's cool and all, but sometimes boring. But out of all three, she's the best to hang out with. I slowly put on some my fave jeans with flowers and a tshirt. I'd have to walk to Marissa's house since my family was out for the day. Oh well, I'll just get a BIG morning workout since her house is eleven blocks away. I put some mags in my backpack (which I carry around almost everywhere) and stepped out into the morning sun. Since this is going to be a long walk, I'll tell ya more about my "friends." Marissa and Ginger are a really bad combo, not that they fight or anything. Just when they are together I have couple words for you: immature, stupid, annoying. I feel like when I'm around both of them at the same time that there is like this big wall that seperates us called: THE 'TURE WALL. One side which I am on is the mature line where no one makes really dumb jokes and embarreses you, and the other is for Marissa and Ginger...and well you get my point. But everything is okay when the wall isn't there. Usually it's not there when I'm just with one of them which is good. Using book "magic" let's skip all the way to where I rang Marissa's doorbell. "Oh hi, Briana," she said, as she opened the door. "Hi, Marissa," I mumbled. I was still tired. "I was just watching television," she said, walking into her room. "Want me to close the door?" I murmured sleepily. The walk had not woken me up very well. "Whatever you want!" Marissa replied from her room. I slammed it shut in annoyance. Marissa acts like I'm suppose to know everything and act like I live at her house when I'm there. One night when I was eating dinner over her house, I asked if I could have a soda. She said sure, but didn't move a muscle. No offense or anything, but how am I suppose to know where everything is? My house has differrent places for things than her house, and she should know that. "Watch it, Bri," Marissa's mom said, walking into the room. "Hey, what are you doing here so early in the morning?" "Marissa invited me over," I said, relizing Marissa just invited me over without even teling anyone. "Really?" Her mom said in surprise. "MARISSA!" Marissa appeared in the door pretending to look tired. "What mom?" then she pretended to look surprised. "Hey, Briana, what are you doing here so early? You could of just called if you wanted to come over!" "What!" I said. "IT's called using the telephone," her mom said. "Now, Briana, it's too early so I suggest you come later, and CALL next time." I couldn't believe this. Marissa was blaming me just because she didn't want to get into trouble! (This is like a wall between us, she should have just been mature and taken responsibilty.) "Whatever," I muttered, and stalked outside. I decided to take a power walk. I was outside anyway, so I might as well. Walking along, I relized that I couldn't take this anymore from Marissa and Ginger. Seroiusly, what was the point of being friends when you don't want to be friends? I practically ran all the way home, even though I was exhauted. I threw my bookbag and ran to get the phone. Picking up it up, I relized that it was really early, and Tiffanie always slept late. I hung it up and plopped on the couch with a sigh. Might as well get some sleep... I woke up by the bark of my dog, Patchez. It was 11:30, so I decided to call Tiffanie. "Hello?" her sister answered. "Hi, is Tiffanie there?" I asked, hopefully. "Yea, sure, hold on," she said. "TIFFANIE!!! PHONE!!!" I covered my ears. People are SO loud. "Hello?" Tiffanie came a momment later. "Uh, hi," I said, "it's Briana." "Oh, hi!" she said. "Whatcha doing today?" "Mmmm, just bball practice," I answered. I tried to think of a way to see if Ginger and Marissa were bothering here too, but I couldn't. "Can you sleep over today?" she asked to my surprise and delight. "Yea sure!" I said. "I'll come around 5:00, okay?" "Alright," TIffanie said. "See you then, I hafta go babysit my nextdoor neighbors 'til 4:00." I hung up the phone and went back to the couch to flip through the latest issue of KEWLTEEN, one of my fave mags. "This is interresting," I said to myself. They had an article on friends and a quiz to see if you really should be friends with your friend. "Might as well do it." I took out a pen and started to answer the questions....My score was 42. The results said:
0-12: You and your friend are fine, just you get on eachother's nerves and that's OK!
13-23: Okay...So you and your friend are on eachother's neck. See if your friend feels the same way or it's okay how it is with both of you.
24 and up: OH MY GOSH HOW CAN YOU STAND THIS FRIEND??? YOU NEED TO DO SOME REACTING RIGHT AWAY!!!
That's when I knew to destroy the checkered wall. When will YOU destroy YOUR checkered wall?

The End
