"Okay, class, now settle down," said Mrs. Herb, my third grade teacher. "Time to write down homework for tonight. Take out your black books." Oh, hi! My name is Sarah. It's the fifth week of third grade. As you know, Mrs. Herb is my teacher. Right now, she is writing down homework for us to copy.
Homework
1. Write a scary story about a page long. Due by next Friday.
2. English- worksheet
3. ABC order in Spelling.
Well, that should be easy. But what about the scary story? Maybe I'll need more time! I never can think up a good story. But I'm not going to give up. (After all, I want a good grade!) Then the bell rang. Time to go home. I went out of the room, to the old apple tree. My best friends Lynn, Nora, Lea, and Alex were -of course- waiting for me there. "I'm starving!" Alex said. "Let's go to the mall." I thought about that. It sounded okay but I knew we couldn't stay long because it was a school night. "Okay," I answered. "After, I want to go to the spooky mansion across from my house. I think it will give us tons of inspiration, don't you think?" Lynn gasped. "I was just kidding," she said, after awhile. "Of course," I said smiling. We all knew that Lynn didn't like scary stuuf. But she would put up with it for us. So we went to the mall. Alex had a milkshake- after all that-, Nora had a cookie, Lea had fugdge, Lynn had a lollipop, and I had had icecream, cookie dough of course. Then we took the road to that mansion on my block. It was said that anyone who ever went inside, never came back. But my friends and me weren't scared. Not one bit. Well, maybe a little. We left our bikes outside and then went in. Nora lit a candle for each of us. We looked aroung. Then I heard Alex say, "Hey, guys, come here! I think that I found something! A box, I think." I ran over to the room where the others were already. Sure enough, it was a box. "Let's open it!" said Lea. So we each took turns trying to pry it open. It wouldn't budge! Then Nora found a key. "Maybe this should do it," Alex said. Lea placed the key on the latch and turned it. Instantly, the box opened. IT was filled with five papers, so we each took one. Mine said this: "A vampire pops out of the closet. The End." And that's it. We each let eachother read ours. It made kind of since to me. So we put them togetther to make a story. In the end, it sounded like this:
A girl named Kelly, was walking down the street.
Then she began to be a little curios when she saw a house.
So she went inside and began to get even more curious.
She opened the closet door. Then whatever it was, popped out of the closet and she was trasformed into one forever.
A vampire popped out of the closet. The End.
So we went out of the mansion, wondering what to do with them. Just then, we saw Mrs. Herb was walking down the street. "Was is that you have in your hands?" she asked. "Just some papers we found," I answered, sweetly. Mrs. Herb's eyebrows went up. "Let me see those for just one second!" she said, puuling on mine. "No!" I said, pulling back, relizing her name was Kelly and that was her house!
"Please, dearie," she said, tugging it, "I neeed tttooooo!!!" she said that in a very weird voice. So we ran all the way to my house. It probably wouldn't help, but it was worth a shot. "You can run, but you can't hide!!!" Mrs. Herb cackled, her image in my mirror. "NO!" I said. "But I just want to correct your story!" Mrs. Herb said, kindly. I zipped around. "Huh?" Alex said. "Yea," Lynn said, "What do you mean?" Mrs. Herb laughed. "Sarah made that paper a few weeks ago!" she answered. "You see, she is going on vacation, so she got her work done early." "Then why is it all ripped up?" Nora asked. "Dogs!" Mrs. Herb said, shaking her head. "Then why did you keep it in a little chest?" Alex asked. "Well," she said, "I keep all my papers there. But today, that one just wasn't corrected to be handed out." Everyone stared at me. "Well it could of happened to anyone!" I said. As for the paper, I got an A. (No plus because Mrs. Herb and I had a very long talk about going into other people's house and opposing things)
THE END
