*Chapter+5*
I was going to climb out the window when I remembered that my parents
weren't home. Kymberly wouldn't say anything because I still had that whole
Kevin thing hanging over her head. I swear was going to milk that for a long
time. So I looked out the window and motioned for Nick to go out to the
beach and wait for me. I still didn't know what I was going to say. I didn't
have any idea. I checked in on Kymberly and saw that she was fast asleep. I
didn't like the idea if my sister going out with Kevin if you couldn't tell,
and she better be tired from lack of sleep and not from...I'm not even going
to think about it. Oh well I have my own problems to worry about. As I
walked down the stairs and then out to the beach my mind was going a mile a
minute. Then I saw him and my heart melted. He was sitting in the soft sand
throwing rocks into the ocean. "Hey you," I said as I walked up behind him.
"Hey yourself," he replied as his eyes lit up.
"So..., are we gonna talk about yesterday?," I asked getting right to the
point. Yeah, I can be pushy but it gets the job done. Nick looked really
nervous, like his whole life depended on what he was about to say. This made
me feel really uncomfortable but also I wanted to know. "Yeah, I guess we
should, I've been thinking about you a lot lately, and I'd like it if we
gave...well us a chance," he said getting it all out in one breathe. His
eyes were darting back and forth like he wasn't really focusing. "Nick, I
don't know...we're such good friends, I really don't want to lose that," I
said not looking Nick straight in the eyes.
"Oh, I see what your saying, maybe I should get going," he said with a
forlorn look as he got up to leave.
"Nick!, Nick!," I said trying to stop him.
"No, I'm going to go, we'll be friends like you want!," he was yelling now.
I could tell I had really hurt him and I felt like part of me died inside
has him pain filled eyes met mine. What he didn't realize was that I didn't
want to be friends. I wanted him. "I love you Nick," I said to him but he
was already to far away to hear.
"What do you mean Erica's picking you up!," Rebecka yelled in to the phone
on this oh so sunny morning.
"Well Kym took my car to see Kevin," I said getting annoyed. I was already
mad that my conniving little sister took MY car on the only day dad said all
the temps could show up at noon. Apparently all the big shoots were working
up the plans for the Backstreet Boys Christmas album. I didn't care either
way. "Why do you care anyway? I thought you liked Erica?," I added.
"I did until the bitch started hitting on AJ and Brian last night, you
better keep an eye on Nick if you know what's good for you," she said, still
angry about me going into work with my friend Erica. At the mention of Nick
I sighed.
"I doubt that matters anymore since he's not talking to me," I said, vowing
that I wouldn't start crying again. I had done enough of that the last
couple of days. I hadn't heard from him since that night but Nicole had
heard from Brian that he had gone away to think for a couple of days, which
made me really nervous. "Oh don't worry girl, he really cares about you,
he'll come around although I know why you didn't snag him when you had the
chance," She said sounding as though she knew what she was talking about.
"But what if we broke up? You know what happen last time," I said hearing
Erica's car outside. I knew I had to go because I knew that Erica wasn't a
very patient person, and she has a tenancy to get really pissed off if she's
kept waiting. I've known Erica since I was 12 and she can be really nice,
but also really stuck up. She really tall and pretty so guys seem to pay
attention to only her when she's around. That's what bugs other girls but I
didn't really care at the moment I just wanted off the phone with Rebecka
who was going on and on about her oh so happy relationship with AJ.
ARGGGGGG,,, So I told her I had to go, ran down the stair grabbed my purse
and jump din the car ready to face another day! NOT!

*Chapter+6*
"Damn!" I screeched as I broke yet another nail. I hated the mailroom with a
passion. But I had to pay my dues, which I also hated, but I guess I have to
get used to it. My father was the boss of this company and I knew he
wouldn't hesitate to fire me. "Hey Jen," Erica said as she walked in the
room looking all high and mighty. Her dad was the Vice President of Jive and
he had given HIS daughter a very cushy secretary job, which really pissed me
off. "Hello," I replied in a curt tone.
"Wow, what crawled up your ass and died," Erica said with a smirk, she knew
that I hated the fact that her dad gave her a good job and I thought she was
super spoiled.
"What do you want Erica? I'm sure your father wouldn't want you down here,
you might get a paper cut or something," I said wanting her to tell me
whatever it was she came down here to tell me.
"Well, I just wanted to tell you that I'm going out on a date tonight so I
won't be able to make your little night out with the girls after all," she
said studying her nails.
"Breaks my heart," I thought but out loud I said, "Real nice Eric, ditch us
for a guy," I said this a little more loudly then I wanted.
"You wouldn't be saying that if you saw who my date was," she yelled as she
walked out the door. I threw a stapler at her retreating figure.
"Shoot, I missed," I smirked. "I wonder what she meant by I wouldn't if I
saw who her date was?" I thought as I stacked the rest of the letters. At
the end of the day I wen to find Nicole and Rebecka because they were coming
over that night to have an all girls sleepover. I knew they were just trying
to get my mind off Nick, which was going to be a very hard task. "Come on
Jen, pick up the pace," Rebecka said as she saw I was only doing 40 in a 80
speed limit.
"Yeah, you're gonna get a ticket for going too slow!" Nicole added. Nicole
reached for my CD case and took out the Backstreet Boys new CD Millennium. I
smiled when Nicole picked "Don't want you back" to play. She knew me well.
That was my favorite song. That and "I Need You Tonight" but I can't seem to
listen to it lately. We got to my house about 1/2 hours later after I picked
up the pace a little. "Larger than Life" was blaring from my speakers with
three less than talented back up singers. I started to feel a lot better
until I saw Kevin's car parked outside my house. "Damn it," I said as I ran
in the house to find Kevin and my sister, ummmm doing stuff on the living
room carpet.
"Kymberly!" I yelled which made Kevin jump about ten feet away.
"Ok that's it! You are way to old for MY little sister," I continued to
yell.
"Excuse me sister dear but I think that's my decision," she replied trying
to fix herself up.
"Not if I tell mom and dad when they get back," I said with a smile.
"Damn you!" she screamed in my face as she ran up the stairs.
"Kevin I think you should leave," I said as he tried to protest.
"NOW!" I added in a firm voice. He just looked at me, grabbed his stuff and
was out the door. The others just stared at me and then grabbed their stuff
and climbed my stairs.
"DING DONG," my doorbell rang and I jumped up from where I was watching TV.
"Oh, hey Erica what do you want..." I said as I saw who came up behind her.
"Nick what are you doing here?" I said after he came into view.
"Well..." He tried to get it out but was interrupted.
"Nick's going out with me tonight and he left his wallet here," as she
pointed at herself to prove she was the one he was taking out.
"Bitch!!!," I said right before I punched her straight in the nose!

Chapter 7
"What the hell did ya do that for!?," Erica yelled as she put her hand to
her now bleeding nose. I actually felt better. The guy who said violence
doesn't solve problems obviously never beaned someone. I smiled inside but
continued to look made on the outside. "Nick, why the hell would you go out
with this...this sorry excuse for a human being!," I said tears starting to
run down my face. I got ready to lunge at her again, I was so pissed off.
"Jen, calm down!, I don't know why I went out with her," Nick yelled as he
wrapped his strong arms around me and pulled me away from Erica, who looked
like she was just about ready to hit me back. I'd like to see her try, I
felt like I could do anything. Erica also looked like she wanted to tackle
Nick for his previous comment. Nick pulled me up the stairs to my room. He
closed the doors as I collapsed on my bed. As he was closing the doors I
could hear Nicole and Rebecka taking Erica into the kitchen to clean her up.
She was rambling on about how much of a physico I was, maybe she's right.
Nick just turned and stared at me as if I was a stranger. Then he seemed to
think about why I had done what I had done. It seemed to don on him just as
I rolled over. I didn't have the heart to look him in the eyes. "I love you
Nick," I just blurted out. I wasn't sure if I said it out loud until I
looked up into his eyes.
"What did you just say?," Nick seemed to look right into me.
"You heard me, I guess it took insane jealousy to finally come to my
senses," I admitted looking guilty and ashamed.
"Wow, you know I love you too right?," He said looking very happy.
"Yeah, I was hoping so," I replied with a little laugh and smile. Nick
reached over and took hold of my face, and I stopped laughing. The smile
never did leave my face and I could feel sparks fly which had never happened
to me before. I beat him to the punch though as I leaned in and gave him the
kiss I know he had been waiting for...
About 15 minutes later Nick and I walked down the stairs with our arms
wrapped tightly around eachother. Yeah I know 15 minutes isn't very long but
I figured I should check and see if Erica the Bitch was still bleeding to
death. "That was a pretty sweet right hook you had there Jen," Nick joked as
we turned into the living room. As we came in we found Brian and Aj had come
over. Brian was paying extra attention to Erica and I could tell it was
making Nicole mad, so much she didn't notice the looks AJ was giving her. I
wonder what's going on in this little group. I had found out today that
things weren't really has peachy with Rebecka and AJ has things really
seemed.
As Nick and I sat down Erica turned and looked at me with distaste. "I'm
glad you can joke about my possible broken nose Nickolas Carter!," Erica
spat out.
"Yeah well you had it coming," Nick retorted.
"Nick that's kinda rude don't ya think?" Brian said with a disapproving
glance. "She did Brian, you weren't even here," Nicole said to her
boyfriend. Then they just gave eachother looks and Brian turned back to
Erica. Erica liked this and started turning on the heavy flirting. So
pathetic but Brian was falling into it. "So what's up with this, are you two
the newest lovebirds Frack?, AJ asked looking at Nick and I holding hands.
"Yeah I think this is just the beginning," I replied for Nick, leaning over
for another kiss. I could hear the gagging sounds coming from the living
room but I didn't care, because damn it, I was happy. I couldn't say that
much for Nicole though as I got up to go to the kitchen. I could noises
inside but I thought nothing of it until I opened the door to find Brian and
Erica, going at it pretty heavy. What was I going to do?
*Chapter+8*
I slowly backed away from the kitchen door and just stood there. This was
way too much to absorb in one day, and strangely it all revolved around that
damn Erica. AJ came up behind me and placed his hand on my shoulder, which
made me jump about half a mile straight into the air. "What's wrong Jen?,
you look like you've seen a ghost," He said with a look of concern. Everyone
had been looking at me with a look of concern since I popped Erica.
"Yeah I'd have to say somethings wrong, one of my best friends is cheating
on another with a girl who was going out with the guy I was in love with,
sounds like a JErry Springer show," I thought before answering AJ question.
"In ... the ...kitchen," I choked out. AJ opened the door slightly and his
eyes seemed to pop out of his head.
"What the...," He said before he bursted into t he kitchen causing Brian and
Erica to burst apart. Brian just stood there and he couldn't seem to meet my
eyes because I was giving him one of those looks that could kill. I was
really good at those when I tried. The weird thing was Erica looked more
guilty then the smug look I was expecting from her. "What the hell are you
doing Frick,?" AJ yelled at the top lungs, it was so loudly that everyone
from the living room came storming in to see what all the fuss was about.
I, I," Brian stumbled when he saw Nicole walk in the room behind Nick.
Why don't you just tell them Brian, tell them what kind of guy you really
are," Nicole spat out while she glared with disgust at both of them.
"We never wanted to hurt you Nic, it just sort of happened, that was why I
went out with Nick, I thought I could get over him," Erica blurted out
making gestures towards Nick.
"Thanks, I feel so used," Nick replied really looking as though he could
care less.
"Yeah right Nick, I really tried," Erica continued, not looking anyone of
her friends in the eyes.
YEah that's a great excuse Erica, I think I'll use that that next time I
steal one of your boyfriends...wait I'm not like that, and I would never do
that," Nicole answered, starting to look really mad, it also dawned on me
that she seemed to already know of Brian's cheating. I was still in complete
shock but I still managed to round everyone up and throw them outside.
Nicole looked as though she was almost ready to start throwing stuff and we
had many expensive crystal vases and I knew my mother really wanted to keep
them in one piece. Nicole had tears running down her face yet know one
wanted to approach her because she was in such a fragile state. I walked
over to Nick and wrapped my arms around him. I was thankful he was there.
Brian finally took a step towards Nicole and they started to talk, we all
just stood there and stared. Their voices rose and fell as they fought it
out. Finally it looked as though Nicole just gave up, she leaned over and
hugged Brian not looking as though she wanted to let go. Brian and AJ got in
the car after Nick waved away a ride, AJ gave Rebecka a apologetic wave
before they drove off down the street. Nicole turned and looked at Erica
before waling over and talking to her, about ten minutes later they realized
everyone was watching and decided to go for a drive. "Wow I hope she doesn't
kill her," I said trying to cut through the tension that had taking over my
supposed to be sleepover.
"Yeah, she should just really hurt her," Rebecka joked back.
"You two are horrible," Nick said trying to look tough and keep a straight
face.
Yeah you know you love us!," I said. Nick made a snorting sound in response
so Rebecka and I just look at each other before tackling him to the ground.
Kymberly walked out the front door to find us pinning Nick to the ground and
tickling the poor guy. She looked really pissed of and I assumed it was
still at me but she started to laugh when she saw the situation that Nick
was in. "Well since my sleepover was totally ruined to you two wanna stay,
we do your hair in curlers and test out some make-up on ya, what do you
think Kymberly, ya think he's a winter?" I said, as I looked at eh scared
look on Nicks face. I turned to Kymberly and she seemed to remember why she
was mad at me. So she turned and stocked into the house, and when I went to
open the door I discovered the little bitch had locked me out!

*Chapter+9*
"Let me in kid!," I yelled at top of my lungs, careful no to freak out too
much. Kymberly must have known I didn't need this right now. Rebecka knew I
was about to blow a gasket so she to began to pound on the doors. "I'm gonna
kill her!, and you two are gonna help me bury the body!," I yelled so loud I
was sure the neighbours musta heard.
"Com'on Jen, it's all good," Nick said looking unconcerned.
"Yea..I really should be getting home anyways," Rebecka said looking more
tired then she was really letting on.
"What about our sleepover?," I said beginning to get flustered again.
I'm sure you two will find something to do," Rebecka said as she turned to
get into her car, laughing because Nick was still lying on the ground were
we had left him. I had to smile too, he looked so cute and all.
"I always hated camping and I think this was the reason," I grumbled as
another tent pole fell over. I looked over at Nick to see him lying in the
sand not even making an attempted to try to help. I went over and plopped
down beside him. "What are you thinking about Mr.Carter?," I asked because
he appeared to be so far off.
"Just about B-Rok and Nic," Nick said, with a concerned look in my
direction.
"Yea I was thinking about that today too, that won't happen to us hun, it
couldn't," I replied, surer of this then I had ever been of anything. I got
up to continue with the tent, but was pulled back down. "Forget the tent,
sands nice and soft," This was last thing I remember before...
"AH!," I screeched as cold water hit me bare stomach. I looked at my watch
and saw that it was already 9:30 and a water balloon had just hit me. I
turned to see who was gonna pounce, and saw AJ smiling at me with a knowing
look. I looked at him with a confused smile then saw what he was looking at.
Nick was sleeping peacefully where I had just been. "So why are you here so
early in the morning?," I asked finally.
"Your sister called, she was freaking out because she didn't know where you
were," AJ told me. "But I believe I found you," he said with a wink.
Yeah, yeah," I said and turned me back to him, big mistake, he ran over to
me picked me up and before I knew it I landed in the ocean.
Later that afternoon, I was surprised to see that all my friends: Kymberly,
Nick, Erica, Nicole, Rebecka, AJ, Brian and even Kevin had gathered in my
kitchen. My house had always been the designated lunch spot but I thought
since all the cheating and break ups that it would have stopped. Guess we're
all friends until the end. I looked around the room and saw all the people I
loved and realized I never wanted it to end, hopefully it never will...
If you wanted to know what happened to everyone…well Nicole and Brian
actually got back together, but it took a long time for Nic to forgive
Brian. I still believe to this day that they shouldn't be together, all they
ever do is fight but they don't see it.
Rebecka and AJ are still together too. They got married two years after all
this and they had a little girl they named none other than Jennifer. I was
very honoured. They're so happy.
Kymberly and Kevin are also still together. I learned to except them because
he treats her so well. My parents on the other hand weren't so accepting of
the relationship. They kicked Kym out of the house and she eloped. She still
had know contacted with the family other then me. It's sad because she's
pregnant with her first child.
Well lastly you want to know about Nick and I, we unlike all out friends did
not stay together. We kind of grew apart even though we loved eachother so
much, I'll never stop loving him but people change. I met up with him again
at AJ's and Becky's wedding. He gave me look so deep, there's still love
there. WE did start dating again but once again we went our separate ways,
things change.
Oh I know I forgot Erica, nobody cares, she was a bitch.
