Locating Jungle Japes
After completing Cranky's training course and learning Simian slam, head
towards the cave-like exit and slam the DK switch at the end to open the gate &
find the DK Isles. Squaks will point out an Island to you, head over there to
the entrance. Inside you will find K. Lumsy. Talk to him and he will get all
emotional. His stomping will break open a passage on DK Island. Behold the
entrance of Jungle Japes.

Locating Angry Aztec
After recieving your first boss key from the Jungle Japes level, head back over
to the island containing K. Lumsy's prison. Walk towards the lock that holds the
#1 and it will become unlock. Again, K. Lumsy will get happy and pounce open the
entrance to Angry Aztec. Go back to DK Island and find a platform low enough so
that you can backflip onto it. At the top you will find a temple with the
entrance to Angry Aztec.

Locating Frantic Factory
After recieving your second boss key from the Angry Aztec level, head back to
K. Lumsy's prison. Unlock lock #2 and again K. Lumsy will open 3 passages. 1
will be a platform so you can reach a ramp that twists and turns and winds up at
the very top of the stronghold. At the top you will find the entrance to Frantic
Factory.

As stated above, after opening Lock #2, K. Lumsy will open 3 passages. One of
these will be an underwater passage connect to the stronghold... enter to find
Gloomy Galleon.

#1- Entrance to Jungle Japes

********************4b1 Donkey Kong********************
Climb up the first tree and swing across the vines to find a switch in a raised
corridor. Stomp it to open the door. Go through the orginal tunnel until you
enter the main room, very large area. Across from you is the river. Jump in to
find a vine leading from the river up to a platform. Climb up to find Funky's
Armory. Enter and buy the Coconut Cannon. To the side of the armory are a few
vines over a large gap. Use the vines to get to the other side. Run into the
cannon hear to be blasted up to Diddy's prison. After the cinema, coconut
targets will be spread about. This First is left and down from Diddy's cage. The
second is below the small gap to the side of the armory and the third is near
the boulder covering a platform with a X. After shooting all 3, Diddy will be
freed. Diddy is now a usable character. Remember the center door that opened
when you freed Diddy? Well get in the water an jump up into it. Walk foward,
making your way through the tunnel until you find a area where a storm in
occuring. Cranky's lab will be here. Enter to learn Donkey's second move. Behind
Cranky's lab, shoot the coconut target to reveal an animal box. You'll turn into
a rhino. One your a rhino, smash all the huts in the area, then exit this area
and to the left is a wall with the rhinos head on it, smash it to open more of
the level that can be used later.

BOSS
Donkey must fight the boss of Jungle Japes. After collecting 60 kong bananas
(colored), you can enter the boss level by going to Toff'n'Scoff. Remember, any
kong can feed them with any colored banana, but only Donkey will be able to go
through the door. Go to chapter 5 to learn how to beat this boss and all the
other bosses.

BATTLE ARENA
The big silver floorpiece in front of the Armory. Jump and and push Z to fight a
few rounds of beavers to gain your first Crown.

Golden Bananas
#1- In front of Diddy's cage
#2- Inside Diddy's cage, after shooting all coconut targets of the left, center,
and right tunnels of the lower level.
#3- The barrel shooting game; found above the platform with and X on it and a
boulder atop of it.. to get hear go to the tree south of the platform to find
the vines above it. Hit the switch to begin the game.
#4- Near Cranky's Lab, shoot the coconut target above a closed gate to find an
animal box. Turn into the rhino and crush all of the huts. Stomp on Donkey's
switch to see a banana lift out of a hole near the entrance.
#5- Near the boulder from #3, there is a cave, enter and find the guard holding
the yellow blueprint and return it to Snide, who happens to be down the hill
from Diddy's Prison.
********************4b2 Diddy Kong********************
Jump into a tag barrel to switch to Diddy. Once you have Diddy, go to the armory
& cranky's lab to get the peanut shooters and Diddy's 1st move, respectively.
Each move cost 3 red banana coins, which can all be found scattered about.

Golden Bananas
#1- In the tunnel you went through before the main area, there will be a large
door that can be opened with Diddy's peanut pistols. You'll find your first
golden banana inside.
#2- Near cranky's lab, after using Donkey to crush the huts, find the Diddy
switch and activate it. It will reveal a banana near the armory. You have only
second to get their so jump on the 4 switch to be transported in front of the
water. Jump and swim to the vine and climb up to the platform with the banana
(you can do this without the 4 switch).
#3- The large moutain-like structure down the hill from Diddy's prison had a
peanut target on it. Shot it to reveal a twisting ramp. Run up the ramp about
3/4 of the way to find a passage to the inside. To the far north of this room it
a crate with another peanut target. Use backflips to get up. Shoot the target to
reveal a ramp near the entrance. Cross the ramp to find a Diddy switch. Stomp it
to reveal a golden banana on the top of the mountainous structure. Ascend the
rest of the ramp to recieve the banana.
#4- Once inside the room from #3, go foward following the river to the entrance
of the next room. Straight ahead is a fence with a machine inside and a Klump.
Use your chimpy charge (Z+B) to break down the fence then use an exploding
orange to kill the Klump. Use the chimpy charge on the button marked "LOW," the
stomp on the Diddy switch outside this gate. This will open a gate to an area
with two more Klumps. Bomb them both. Backflip up to the moving ramps and ascend
them. Make sure not to fall. At the end of these conveyor belts you will find a
mine-cart, beginning the Mini-mine game. All you have to do is avoid being hit
by jumping and collecting 50 coins on this wonderful and beautiful ride.
#5- In one of the tunnels leading to Cranky's lab, you will find a red haired
Kasplat. Kill him to find a red blueprint. Take this to Snide's HQ to recieve
Diddy's last golden banana of the level.
********************4b3 Lanky Kong ********************
Lanky can go to Cranky's Lab to get his 1st move on this level.

Golden Bananas
#1- In the same area that was opened by Diddy in finding Golden Banana #1, you
will find another closed gate with a grape target above it. Use Lanky's weapon
to open it and play "Mad Maze Maul" (details on beating this in chapter 9, mini-
games & bonuses). After beating it you will be awarded with a golden banana.
#2- In the tunnels leading to Cranky's lab, there is an area with a steep slope.
Use Orangstand to ascend the hills (Z+B) and to find Lanky's second bonus game,
"Speedy Swing Sorty" (details on beating this in chapter 9, mini-games &
bonuses)! After beating it you will be awarded a golden banana.
#3- If Donkey crushed the huts near Cranky's lab, then you will be able to find
& stomp Lanky's switch. A gate near the canon below Diddy's prison will open.
Once again, you will have enough time to make it w/o stategy but if you're
retarted then use the 4 switch and jump into the water. Climb the vine and then
use the floating vines to get to the platform w/ the banana.
#4- Below the canon platform, it a seperate platform with 2 beavers, 1 bee, a
tunnel entrance, and a steep slope with a gate up top. The gate has a peanut
target so change to Diddy quickly and open it up. Get back to Lanky and use
Orangstand (Z+B) to ascend the hill. Stomp on the two raised pegs on either side
of the room. Once done, a few bees will fly out. Shoot them all with the grape
blowgun from a safe distance. Once they are dead, the painting will reveal a
golden banana.
#5- In the same area as golden banana #2, find the Kasplat with Blue hair to
find the blue blueprint. Bring it to Snide's HQ to recieve Lanky's last golden
banana of this world.
********************4b4 Tiny Kong ********************
Cranky's Lab, yeah, you know what to do.

Golden Bananas
#1- In the same play as finding Diddy's golden banana #1, their is another gate
that can be opened by Tiny's feathers. Inside is her first bonus game, "Splish
Splash Salvage" (details on beating this in chapter 9, mini-games & bonuses).
Beat it and get Tiny's first golden banana.
#2- If you turned into a rhino as donkey and destroyed the huts near cranky's
lab, you'll be able to find Tiny's switch. Once stomped on by Tiny, a gate in
the main area on the side of the river will be opened. Once again, you can get
their in the time allotted, but if you Dan Quayle than you can step on the 4
switch, jump in the water, then jump into the aclove.
#3- Go into the tunnel near the large boulder in the main area. At the end in a
dead end which can be opened only by shooting the two feather targets. Once in
hear, you will find a small tree stump w/ a golden banana within. Make sure you
know Tiny's shrinking ability, then jump into the barrel w/ Tiny's face. Once
shrunk, jump on the mushroom next to the tree stump to be catapulted into the
air. Successfully land on top of the stump to find a small hole. Jump in to get
the banana.
#4- At the northeast corner of this area, you will once again be able to shrink
to accomedate the size requirements for enter the large, yellow... thing. Once
inside, go to your left to find a Tiny switch. This will open a gate. Enter that
corridor to find another Tiny switch. This will open another gate. Go in hear to
find a golden banana. Whoop De Doo!
#5- Exit this small area to reenter the tunnel, find the Kasplat with purple
hair. Destroy him to get the purple blueprint. Return this to Snide's HQ to get
Tiny's last golden banana of this world.
********************4b5 Chunky Kong ********************
I got Chunky's growth trick at Cranky's lab. You should too. I also got Chunky's
pineapple blaster here, although you can get it in Angry Aztec, you will need it
here.

Golden Bananas
#1- In the main area you'll find a boulder on top of a X. Pick up the boulder by
pressing B. Press B again to throw the boulder. It will break and a golden
banana will pop out.
#2- Now, stomp on the X that was under the boulder 3 times to reveal a hidden
passage. Carefully walk over the narrow path that becomes really dark at some
points. At the end, you will see a monument of a creature with two pineapple
targets. Shoot the left on to go left on the vines to collect a stray golden
banana.
#3- Shoot the right pineapple target and go right on the vines to find the green
haried Kasplat with the green blueprint. Bring this to Snide's HQ.
#4- Go into the tunnel near the busted X and keep going foward until you reach
the area that was opened by Tiny before... Once here, use Chunky's barrel to
become big. Once you're big, you are able to jump into a bonus barrel. Now you
must play the bonus game, "Minecart Mayham!" (details on beating this in chapter
9, mini-games & bonuses). Beat it and get rewarded your 4th golden banana. (TIP:
Chunky can climb larger tree when in giant form.)
#5- In the tunnels near Cranky's area, their is a side path that leads to a
boulder. Lift the boulder and throw it somewhere. Stomp on the Chunky switch
under it to see a gate rise right near Snide's HQ. Now, their are two things you
can do... 1. Run toward the 4 switch in front of Cranky's lab then swim across
the river towards the 3 switch or 2. Run from the Chunky switch to the 3 switch.
Once you teleport to the mountainous structure, run down to the left where you
can find Snide's HQ and the revealed golden banana.

4C Angry Aztec==========================================

********************4c1 Donkey Kong ********************
Start off by racing foward and jumping over the hot sand using the two floating
vines. Activate the 1st 1 pad for use later. You'll pass a closed door with
coconut targets on it, but you will not be able to get around this room without
a move, which i will explain how to get a few sentences later. Keep foward on
your track until you come out into the hot, sandy environment known as Angry
Aztec. To the very left of the main area is the music boutique and a
Troff'n'Scoff portal. Go into the music boutique to get your Bongos and an extra
watermelon. To progress furthur to get your next move, we need Diddy to learn
his musical talent (Read 1st paragraph of section 4c2). Go to the center section
of this area (w/ a tag barrel) go up to the tree where floating vines are
reachable. Jump your way over to the top of the Camel (or Llama?) cage, where
there is a guitar pad. Play Diddy's guitar (Z+C-up) to open a tunnel passage.
Have Donkey go into the tunnel passage and make the first right that is allowed.
Follow the narrow path to Cranky's lab. Enter to buy "Strong Kong." This gives
you temporary invincibility! Now, following the path through the rest of this
tunnel, we will emerge into another huge, sandy area. One of the buildings here
has the picture of a camel (llama?) on the main entrance. Below the stairs in a
Donkey switch, which will free the camel. Some targets will appear. Go shoot the
coconut target to open the door. Enter. Go down and to the right and enter the
small aclove with a bongo switch within. Play Donkey's bongos on this switch to
see the molten lava turn into crystal water. Dive into the water and swim
through the passage. When you submerge, you will see Lanky's cage. Shoot the
switch next to the prison to free him. You now have three Kongs!

Golden Bananas
#1- After freeing the Camel from his cage, you will leave behind (farted it
out?) a golden banana. Return when ready to pick it up.
#2- Inside the camel palace, near the bongos in a small aclove, you will find a
Donkey switch. Stomp on this switch and view the cinema. A wall opened up! Make
your way to this wall. Next to the entrance, their is a Donkey barrel, if you
learned the "Strong Kong" move, like i told you to above, you will be invincible
(make sure you hit the number switch)! Run into the entrance and then onto the
platform. You'll find a bonus barrel. Play & beat "Stealthy Snoop" (details on
beating this in chapter 9, mini-games & bonuses) to get Donkey's 2nd golden
banana on this world.
#3- Inside of Lanky's cage. Recievable when you free Lanky (see first paragraph
of section 4c1).
#4- Read section 4c2 for more information of putting the targets above the
palace with 5 doors for each Kong. Diddy must do this for each kong to pass
through their respective doors. For Donkey, once the targets appear, he can
shoot the coconut target to enter his path. Shoot targets when necessary and
follow paths until you come upon a golden banana. Escape within 30 seconds or
get shot by a mysterious man.
#5- Remember that passage in the beginning of the Level that could be opened by
shooting the coconut switches that i told you to pass? Well go back, and shoot
the switches. Jump in the donkey barrel inside the entrance and make your way to
the yellow haired Kasplat to get the yellow blueprint. Make your way to the 2nd
large area w/ the point object in the center w/ a star on top and find Snide's
HQ. Give him the blueprint in return from a precious golden banana. |
