You enter this dungeon and immediately clutch your arms as it is extremely
freezing in here! The doors look frozen shut, but a slash of your weapon unlocks
the doors and you open them wide. You are immediately charged by a frost wolf.
Straight away you are met with a Fight: 1 Frost
Wolf
Go North and then West, then another Fight: 1
Ice Goblin
Go West and Flip the Mirror Switch on.
Then go North and Flip the Small Switch on.
Read the letter: "Greetings traveler, from the
temperature of this cavern, you must be seeking warmth. We can supply you with
heat, but first, you must defeat our challenge, which is to cross the bridge
on the eastern passage. It is a lot harder than it looks, good luck. There will
be another note on the bridge when you get there.
Go South and then East three times, and another letter
will appear:
"Welcome to the bridge. In the next area will lie a maze. If you do not use
brains rather than brawn here, the bridge will crack and you will fall to a
brutal death. You will Need Endurance, you must Evade Submission,
you should Seek Wisdom, and finally, you should Succeed
Safely."
Those words hold the clues you need to safely traverse this
icy bridge, they are actually directions: N, E, E, S, S, W, S, S, as italicised
in the above version of the letter.
Move East first and then follow those directions.
Flip the maze switch on when you get there, then you need to backtrack to the
start of the bridge: N, N, E, N, N, W, W, S.
Another letter will now be there: "Congratulations!
You have passed the test! Please continue east and you will enter the next area.
Just follow the path until you reach our village."
Go East four times and you will come across another Fight:
1 Frost Wolf.
Go East again and read the sign:
"North: Ice Nomad Camp
East: Goblin Lair
Warning: Do not go into Goblin Lair unless prepared for attacks!"
From the sign, go North twice and talk to the Village
Leader:
"Greetings friend, you must have passed our test. Let me be the first to congratulate
you. I am Nazdar, the chief of this village. Many have fallen to the maze, but
you have successfully beaten it. Because you have proven yourself strong physically
and mentally, I'd like to ask if you are willing to try another test, which
rewards it's successor with a magic cane, which I wish to acquire. It is rumored
that the cane can raise the temperature of this cavern, making it more comfortable
for my people here. I am prepared to reward you with 25,000 gold if you are
victorious."
Of course you accept his offer, but when you go north,
you cannot get into the temple.
Instead, you can go East to train against:
1 Ice Goblins
1 Frost Wolves.
To the West (opposite the training grounds), there are some Ice Boots and a
letter:
"Dear traveler, I hope you read this. Apparently Nazdar was really the ice goblins's
leader and was waiting for someone to get the magic cane for him. I feel foolish
for not realizing his true intentions sooner. It is too late for me, but I have
two gifts for you. One, of course, is my hot water pot, which is still here
if you are thirsty. The other is these ice boots, which, when worn, will allow
you to cross the ice bridge into the goblin lair if you decide to avenge us
and save the world in the process. He must be stopped! I . . . "
The Magic water Pot will heal you if you need it
Go back South to where Nazdar was, then go South again
Go East twice and it's time to go Down into the second
level of the Frost Dungeon
