Now, you've followed Aeris here, to the Forgotten City. Unfortunatly, she's no where to be found. The first thing you should do, then, is explore the whole place, and grab all the treasures (including the Comet Materia), and sleep in the upper right house (there's another Enemy Skill materia behind the upper-most bed). At night, the city below the ruins comes alive, and where that fish was in the building down the center path, there will be a stairway. Walk down it. You'll walk down a long staircase into a under ground city. Aeris is down here. To find her, go down to the water's edge, and hop along the little pedestals sticking out of the water. When you reach the podium, talk to Aeris. Cloud will have another psychotic episode, and won't be able to move much. Hitting diffrent buttons on the control pad will make him do diffrent things, but to move the story along, just hit the 0 button several times. Cloud will try to kill her, but your other party members will stop him just in time. Then, out of no where, Sephiroth will leap down from above, killing Aeris with his sword. You'll see a very cool (but very sad) FMV showing Aeris' death. Take note of the glowingstone that falls from her hair into the water, because it becomes important later in the game. Now that Aeris is dead, Sephiroth will leave, but not before forcing you to fight Jenova once again. Jenova-LIFE uses water attacks, and is weak against Earth. Equip one person with the water ring, and give them an earth materia and the Titan summon. Don't worry about your other two people. Just have that one character keep using earth magic and physical attacks. You should beat Jenova-LIFE fairly easily. Now, it's on to Disc 2.
